A new project sounds promising. What's the minimum due diligence before putting money in?

Minimum viable due diligence:
- Team verification: real LinkedIn profiles with track record, not stock photos. Cross-reference with GitHub commits if it's a tech project.
- Audit reports from named firms (Trail of Bits, OpenZeppelin, ConsenSys Diligence). 'Audited' without a published report is meaningless.
- Tokenomics: vesting schedules for team/insiders, total supply, emission schedule. If 50% is held by insiders unlocking in 6 months, you are exit liquidity.
- Liquidity status: is it locked? Where? For how long?
- Community quality: are Telegram/Discord messages organic or bot-generated repetitive shill?
- Revenue or product: does the project actually do something, or is the token the entire product?
If you can't get clear answers on any of the above within 20 minutes of looking, that's the answer.
