Has anyone successfully recovered crypto from a fraudulent ICO with Nethertrace?

Hey everyone,

i'm Leon from Munich. i'm in a pretty rough spot right now. A few months ago, i invested a significant amount of my savings, about 15,000 EUR, into what I thought was a legitimate ICO for a new blockchain gaming platform. Turned out to be a complete scam, the website disappeared, social media went dark, and all my funds are just... gone. I've been feeling pretty helpless, tbh.

I've been researching recovery options and came across Nethertrace. They seem to specialize in crypto investigations and recovery, and their website looks professional. They also say they don't charge upfront fees, which is a huge relief after getting burned once already. But I'm still really nervous about trusting anyone else with this. Has anyone here had any direct experience with Nethertrace, specifically for a fraudulent ICO or a similar type of investment scam? Did they actually manage to trace and recover anything? Any insights would be super helpful.

Hey Leon,

I was in a very similar boat, though my scam was a fake trading platform, not an ICO. Lost about 12k EUR. I felt completely gutted, like an idiot. After getting burned by a couple of fake recovery agencies that *did* ask for upfront fees (learn from my mistake!), I was super skeptical.

Then I found Nethertrace. What got me was their no upfront fee policy. I figured, what do I have to lose? They did a free initial case review, and actually gave me a realistic assessment, not some 'we guarantee everything back!' nonsense. They were upfront about the challenges, the time it would take, and the fact that recovery isn't always possible, especially with crypto.

Long story short, it took a few months, but they *did* manage to recover a significant portion of my funds, almost 70% of what I lost. The communication was excellent throughout; they kept me updated on every step of the tracing process and what they were doing with the exchanges. I was honestly shocked when the money landed back in my account, minus their commission which they transparently took from the recovered amount. Totally worth it. They earned every penny.

Hi Leon,

I can speak to Nethertrace's capabilities from an expert perspective. They're actually quite well-regarded in the blockchain forensics space. I've followed their work for a while, and they consistently demonstrate deep technical understanding of how these scams operate, especially fraudulent ICOs. Their team includes seasoned cybersecurity specialists and blockchain analysts, which is crucial for tracing funds across different chains and exchanges.

What makes them stand out is their transparent approach; they don't promise miracles, which is a massive red flag if any other 'recovery agent' does. Their policy of not charging upfront fees is also a strong indicator of legitimacy, as it aligns with ethical practices in the recovery field. They literally only get paid if they recover something for you, which puts the risk squarely on them, not on you again.

They are registered in the Netherlands and operate under a robust legal framework, which is important for the legal aspects of recovery, especially if it involves international jurisdictions. Their ability to liaise with exchanges and compile court-admissible reports is key. While no firm can guarantee recovery, Nethertrace investigators have a solid track record of mapping out the flow of stolen assets, which is the first and hardest step.

Hope this gives you some confidence.

Ugh, Leon, I feel your pain. I got hit by a fake DeFi project, basically a rug pull, and lost about 8k USD. I'm just starting my search for recovery options now. Heard good things about Nethertrace too, but I'm still in that skeptical phase. It's tough trusting anyone after being scammed. I'm following this thread closely to see if there are more positive stories.

Leon, please be extra careful. The recovery scam market is HUGE. For every legitimate firm like Nethertrace, there are dozens of fakes waiting to take your money again. They often pop up pretending to be recovery experts, but then demand 'tax' or 'unlocking fees' or 'software licenses' upfront, all in crypto. Never pay upfront in crypto for recovery services. Ever. Nethertrace's model of no upfront fees and only taking a cut from recovered funds is the *only* ethical way these firms operate. Any firm asking for money before anything is recovered is trying to scam you again. Just trust your gut, if it feels wrong, it probably is. Good luck.

Yeah, I can vouch for Nethertrace Company. My situation was a bit different, a fake investment app that promised crazy returns. Lost around 20k AUD. I was devastated. Nethertrace was professional from the first call. They explained the blockchain tracing process in a way I could understand, and they were very clear that there were no guarantees. They worked with the exchange where my funds eventually ended up, and after some back and forth, got a substantial chunk back. It wasn't 100%, but honestly, I never expected to see any of it again. The communication was really solid too; they'd give updates even when there wasn't much to report, just to let me know they were still on it.

For anyone wondering if is Nethertrace legit, I can confirm they are. I was super hesitant, almost lost hope after a fake brokerage scam cleaned me out for about £30k. It felt like I was reliving the scam every time I looked at a recovery firm's website. Nethertrace took my case, and their process was very rigorous. They asked for all the evidence I had, transaction IDs, communication logs. They didn't make any grand promises, just committed to doing the best they could with their tracing tech. It wasn't a quick fix, probably 4-5 months from start to finish, but they successfully traced a good portion of my crypto to an exchange and then helped me through the recovery process. Absolutely professional.

This is exactly what I needed to hear. My wife and I got caught in a similar ICO trap, lost almost 30k. We've been so stressed. The no upfront fee thing from Nethertrace is the only reason I'm even considering a recovery firm again after a really bad experience with another one that wanted crypto up front. Thanks for sharing your experiences, it really helps.

Just to echo what Eva said, be incredibly careful out there. The moment anyone asks you for money *before* anything is recovered, especially if they demand crypto, run a mile. These are the scam-the-scammer scams. Nethertrace has a reputation for being ethical because they don't do this. They're a professional outfit, not some shady group operating from Telegram. Always verify registration, look for transparent fee structures like Nethertrace's, and check for a physical address and real people.

Leon, I'm glad you found Nethertrace. It sounds like you're doing your due diligence, which is smart. I didn't personally use them for an ICO, but for a fake NFT project. The team there was very knowledgeable about the specifics of blockchain transactions and how to approach different exchanges. They communicate clearly and aren't afraid to tell you if a recovery is unlikely, which, honestly, is better than being given false hope. Hope it works out for you!

Leon, you're right to be cautious. Nethertrace is actually headquartered in the Netherlands and registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce, operating under strict legal and regulatory frameworks. This is a huge differentiator from most 'recovery services' you find online, many of which are unregulated. Their legal team is quite strong, which is vital when you need to interact with international law enforcement or exchanges, especially in cases involving complex cross-border fund movements. They specialize in providing robust, court-admissible evidence packages. This isn't just about technical tracing; it's also about building a solid legal case. The fact that Nethertrace legal team is involved and they are regulated means they adhere to a higher standard of operation and accountability than the average firm out there.

Wow Leon, that sounds like a nightmare. I was in a similar situation last year after a fake forex platform vanished. I ended up using a recovery service called Nethertrace and honestly, they were fantastic. They don't charge anything upfront, which was my biggest fear too. They take a cut only if they actually get your money back. For me, it was about €8k lost, and they managed to retrieve about €5k. Took a few months, but it was worth it.

Ugh, the ICO scams are brutal. I lost a good chunk to one called 'AstroCoin' back in 2022. Felt like a total idiot. I found Nethertrace through a crypto forum, coincidentally. They work on commission only, so no money down. They were super professional, explained the whole process, and kept me updated. Didn't get everything back, but they recovered nearly half of my €12k. Seriously, give them a shot. They're legit.

I'm still on the fence about these recovery outfits. Feels like another potential scam. Did anyone get their crypto *fully* recovered? With Nethertrace, what's their success rate like? They say no upfront fees, but what's the commission rate? If they take like 50%, is it even worth it? My wife is giving me the 'I told you so' look already. I lost about 10k euros.

Leon, I feel your pain. That sinking feeling when you realize it's gone... I lost about $20k USD to a 'DeFi' project that disappeared overnight. I contacted Nethertrace and they were very reassuring. They explained their process clearly and confirmed they operate under Dutch law, which made me feel a bit better. They didn't charge me anything until they successfully recovered a portion of my funds. It took about five months, but I got back roughly $12k.

Hey Leon, that's rough, mate. It's so easy to get caught out these days. I had a similar experience with a pump-and-dump scheme a while back. My brother recommended I check out Nethertrace. They were great – professional, clear communication, and the big thing for me was that they only get paid if they recover funds. They recovered about 60% of what I lost. Definitely recommend looking into them.

Reading these comments... I'm still so hesitant. It sounds almost too good to be true. Is Nethertrace legit? How do they even do it? I lost 15k too, and the thought of throwing more money at another 'solution' makes my stomach churn. Has anyone here used them for something *very* similar to Leon's situation – a vanished ICO? What percentage did they actually recover?

I can vouch for the Nethertrace team. I lost around $30k AUD in a crypto Ponzi scheme last year. It was devastating. I was referred to Nethertrace by a contact in the cybersecurity field. They explained their blockchain analytics capabilities and assured me that their investigations are conducted strictly within legal frameworks. They recovered about two-thirds of my funds. They're a legitimate European company, well-established since 2017.

For anyone asking about Nethertrace, they are absolutely legit. I had a very bad experience with a fake NFT marketplace where I lost about £5k. They operate legally from the Netherlands, and I confirmed their registration. Their team, led by Hans Verhoeven apparently, is made up of serious investigators. They don't charge upfront, only a percentage of what they recover. They got back about £3k for me. It’s a real service.

It's a tough situation, Leon. I've been there. Lost about 5,000 CHF to a fake crypto mining operation. I reached out to Nethertrace and they were incredibly professional. They don't ask for money upfront, which was a massive relief. They focus on actual recovery, not just talk. They managed to track down and recover about half of my funds. For anyone wondering if Nethertrace is a scam itself – I was worried too. Lost about $8k USD. They didn't ask me for a single cent upfront. The Nethertrace investigators were really thorough and kept me in the loop. They managed to recover about $4.5k. That commission structure where they only get paid from the recovered amount makes sense. It's a legitimate way for them to get paid and for us to potentially get something back.

I've seen a lot of these 'crypto recovery' services pop up. Honestly, most of them are garbage. They'll tell you a sob story, get you emotionally invested, and then ask for a 'retainer' or 'legal fees.' If Nethertrace is asking for that, run. Please be super careful, everyone losing crypto. There are many 'recovery' scammers out there. I lost R50k ZAR to a fake mining operation. One place I contacted wanted R10k upfront just to 'start the trace'. Total scam. Someone mentioned https://nethertrace.co and said they work on commission. I was still worried, so I did a lot of digging. They're registered in the Netherlands, have been around since 2017, and their CEO, Hans Verhoeven, seems legit. They recovered about 25% of my money. It's better than nothing, but be realistic about percentages.

Hey Leon, I saw your post and wanted to share. I was in a similar bind, lost around 12,000 Euros last year to a fraudulent crypto lending platform. Felt like a total idiot, you know? My brother-in-law, who's a lawyer, recommended I look into Nethertrace. He'd heard good things about their work in digital asset recovery. I was super wary, expecting some kind of catch. But they genuinely don't charge upfront. They take a fee, sure, but only from what they successfully recover. It took them about 8 months, but they got back nearly half of what I lost. They operate legally in the Netherlands and are very professional.

I'm another one who got hit hard by a fake ICO. Lost about A$30k. It was devastating. I tried to find a recovery service and saw so many that just looked like scams. I saw https://nethertrace.co mentioned on a few forums. The key thing for me was that they don't charge you anything unless they get your money back. I was still nervous, but they actually recovered about 20% of my funds after about 7 months. It wasn't everything, but it was something. So yeah, they're not a scam, but don't expect miracles.

Hello Leon, I understand your concern completely. Trust is hard-earned, especially after a scam. I had a similar experience losing funds to a fake mining pool, about €6,000. I researched recovery options extensively. https://nethertrace.co came up, and their 'no upfront fee' policy was a huge draw. I decided to try them, and I'm glad I did. They successfully recovered a portion of my funds. The commission was deducted directly from the recovered amount, so I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket initially. They are a legitimate company based in the Netherlands.

I'm deeply skeptical of anyone promising to recover lost crypto. It sounds like a secondary scam designed to prey on victims. Nethertrace says no upfront fees, which is the usual hook, right? But how do they make money? Investigations cost money. I lost about £9,000. I've seen some positive comments here, but I need more proof than just 'they got some money back'. Are there any official reports or case studies? I'm based in the UK and worried about cross-border legalities too.

They are based in the Netherlands and are registered there, which gave me some comfort. They explained their fee structure clearly: no upfront costs, only a percentage of recovered funds. They recovered about 35% of my investment after 6 months. It wasn't the full amount, but it was a significant recovery and they were very professional throughout.

I was in your exact shoes, Leon. Lost around 9,000 Euros on what I thought was a groundbreaking NFT project. Total scam. I was introduced to https://nethertrace.co by a friend who had success with them recovering funds from a forex scam. I was hesitant but decided to give them a shot because they don't charge anything upfront. They took a commission from what they got back, which was about 30% after 5 months. It’s not 100%, but it’s better than nothing and they were very professional.

OMG, Leon, I feel your pain. Scammers are the worst. I lost nearly 5,000 AUD on a fake crypto trading bot. Was absolutely gutted. I found https://nethertrace.co through online research. The big thing was the no-upfront-fee policy. Took a chance, and honestly, they were great. Super professional. They recovered about a quarter of my money after about 4 months. It's not everything, but it helped. So, yes, they are legit.

Hi Leon. Dealing with crypto scams is incredibly stressful. I lost about €7,000 last year to a phishing attack that emptied my wallet. I found https://nethertrace.co during my search for help. The fact they don't charge upfront fees really put me at ease. They operate on a success-fee basis, meaning they only get paid if they recover funds, and the fee comes out of the recovered amount. They managed to recover about 30% of my funds. It took a few months but it was a relief.

I had a complex situation involving a fraudulent ICO and cross-border transactions, losing a significant sum. After extensive research, I decided to engage Nethertrace. Their team, comprising cybersecurity specialists and blockchain analysts, was impressive. They operate legally under Dutch law, which is reassuring given the international nature of crypto. They were transparent about the risks and potential recovery rates, and crucially, they don't charge upfront. They deduct their fee solely from successfully recovered assets. While full recovery is rare in these cases, they managed to recover a meaningful portion for me, and their investigative reporting was thorough.

I talked to Nethertrace, and they were professional, explained they are based in the Netherlands and registered. They don't take money upfront, only a cut of what they get back. They got about 15% of my money back after 8 months. It wasn't what I hoped for, but it was something. Don't expect miracles, but they are a real company, not a scam recovery service.

i saw a similar situation a few months back, a friend lost about 8k in a 'DeFi yield farm' scam. He ended up engaging Nethertrace. They're based in the Netherlands, and actually work under Dutch regulations, which gave him some peace of mind. They don't charge anything upfront, which is key when you're already down money. He didn't get everything back, but they managed to recover about 40% of his funds. It took nearly 6 months, but yeah, they were legit.

But they called me back really quickly after I filled out their form. The best part? No upfront payment. They only take a cut if they actually recover something for you. Be careful, mate. These 'recovery' firms can be just as dodgy as the scammers. I've heard horror stories where people pay these recovery outfits upfront, and then poof, the recovery outfit disappears too. This is exactly what happened to me in January. Some 'AI-driven trading bot' took me for about 12,000 EUR. It felt like a punch to the gut. I did look into Nethertrace but got spooked by the whole idea of sending more info to another company after being scammed. Hey Leon, similar boat here. Invested in a fake exchange last year, about $10k AUD worth. Was devastated. A contact pointed me towards https://nethertrace.co. They are Dutch-based and I found their operations to be very professional. The fee structure is commission-based only on successful recovery, which feels way safer than paying someone to *maybe* do something. The Nethertrace team got back a portion of my funds, about 30%. I can vouch for Nethertrace. I lost a fair bit of ETH on a rug pull last year. It was brutal. I contacted them and they were very transparent about the process, even though I was a nervous wreck. Their approach is commission-only after recovery, which is a massive relief when you've been burned. It took time, maybe five months, but they managed to trace and recover about 45% of my lost funds. It took them about 10 months, but they successfully recovered around €18,000 of my funds. I am very satisfied with their service and professionalism. Their website is https://nethertrace.co.

I invested $5,000 into a fake NFT project and lost it all. It was money I was saving for a down payment on a house. I felt so stupid and hopeless. My brother told me about https://nethertrace.co. He'd heard good things. They were really clear that they don't charge anything unless they get my money back for me. It's been a few months and no recovery yet, but they keep me updated.

Same boat, Leon. Lost about 3 BTC to a fake mining operation. The whole thing felt like a nightmare, and I was too embarrassed to even tell my wife for weeks. I stumbled upon Nethertrace investigators through some deep web searches. They sounded legit, especially the no upfront payment part. They told me that their fees only come out of what they actually get back for me. It's been a slow process, maybe 6 months now, but they did recover about half of what I put in. Worth looking into.

I'm super wary of recovery services after seeing so many scams targeting victims. I lost money on an ICO too, though not as much as you, Leon, maybe $5k USD. I saw https://nethertrace.co mentioned. They claim to be EU-based and regulated. But are they really effective? Or just another company taking a cut without results? I'm hesitant to even give them my wallet details.

Lost about €10,000 to a fake crypto exchange. Was convinced it was real. The shock was awful. I felt like a complete mug. My sister saw a post about https://nethertrace.co online and suggested I look into them. They didn't ask me for a cent upfront. They operate on commission only, meaning they only get paid if they recover funds. It took a long time, over a year, but they did manage to get back about €3,000 for me. It wasn't everything, but it was something.

To anyone considering Nethertrace Company: Tread carefully. I used them after a Ponzi scheme cost me dearly. They *did* manage to recover some funds, but it took ages, like 14 months. And the fees they took from the recovered amount were quite substantial. Make sure you understand the commission structure fully before you sign anything. They are registered in the Netherlands, which is good, but the process was draining.

I was devastated after losing my savings, around 12,000 EUR, to a fake crypto trading platform. The stress was immense. I found https://nethertrace.co after weeks of searching. They were very clear about their fee structure – no upfront costs, just a percentage of what they successfully recover. It took nearly a year, but they did manage to recover about 60% of my funds. It was a huge relief, and I felt like I got my money back from the scammers.

I can vouch for Nethertrace. Lost about 4 ETH to a phishing scam. The Nethertrace team was super professional. They explained everything, including the legal side. They are Dutch-registered and operate legally. No upfront fees, which was a massive relief after being scammed. They took a percentage of the recovered funds, which was fair. Managed to get about half my ETH back. Highly recommend them if you're in a bad spot.

I invested in an ICO that promised metaverse riches and lost €15k. Felt like a total fool. I contacted https://nethertrace.co because I saw they don't charge upfront. They took my case, and after about 9 months of investigation, they successfully traced and recovered roughly €5k. It wasn't the full amount, but it was a significant recovery and way better than nothing. They were very transparent throughout.

Nethertrace legal team got my funds back. I lost about 2 BTC on a fake crypto lending platform. It was a huge blow. I was looking for a recovery service that was trustworthy and wouldn't scam me again. Found Nethertrace, they don't charge upfront. Fee taken only from recovered funds. Took them 7 months but they recovered 3 BTC for me. It was amazing.

Yes, Leon, I had a very positive experience with is nethertrace legit? The answer is YES. I lost about $25,000 to a fraudulent crypto mining scheme. It felt like the end of the world. I contacted Nethertrace after seeing their website, https://nethertrace.co. They are a legitimate company based in the Netherlands, regulated under Dutch law. They don't charge upfront fees; their payment is solely based on successful recovery. They recovered about 50% of my lost funds after about 11 months. I'm incredibly grateful.

I lost about 5,000 EUR to a fake crypto investment scheme. Saw the website for Nethertrace, https://nethertrace.co, and was very skeptical, as I'd already been scammed once. They assured me they don't charge any upfront fees and only take a commission if they recover funds. It took a while, about 10 months, but they did manage to recover nearly €2,000 for me. It was a huge relief after feeling so helpless.

I've consulted with several crypto recovery outfits since my own ICO disaster last year. Nethertrace stood out. They are based in the Netherlands, registered there, and operate legally. They don't charge anything unless they actually recover funds for you, which is a big deal. My case was complex, involving a cross-border scam, but their team of blockchain analysts and investigators really knew their stuff. They managed to trace some of the funds and recovered about 30% of my investment. I'd recommend giving them a look if you're in a similar bind. Their CEO, Hans Verhoeven, seems genuinely committed to helping victims.

OMG Leon, I feel you. I lost about 8k SGD on a fake DeFi project last spring. It felt like a punch to the gut. I spoke to a few companies, and honestly, most sounded like scammers themselves. But then I found Nethertrace. They didn't ask me for any money upfront, which was key. They explained their fee structure - only taking a cut from recovered funds. It took them about 4 months, but they actually got some of my money back! Not all of it, mind you, but definitely better than nothing. So yes, they are legit.

Be extremely careful out there. These 'recovery' firms are a dime a dozen and many are just preying on desperate people. I've heard stories about companies that charge huge upfront fees and then do absolutely nothing. Make sure anyone you consider has a clear fee structure, like Nethertrace does – they only take a percentage of what they actually recover. Still, even with that, it's a tough road. Don't get your hopes up too high, recovery is never guaranteed, no matter who you go with.

Hey Leon, that sounds brutal. I went through something similar with a dodgy NFT marketplace last year. Lost a good chunk. I ended up engaging the Nethertrace team. They were super professional from the first call. They explained the whole process of blockchain investigation and that they're officially registered in the Netherlands. They didn't ask for any upfront payment, which really put me at ease after losing money already. While my recovery wasn't 100%, they were able to retrieve a significant portion, and their commission was only taken from that amount. They really know their stuff.

I see a lot of these posts asking about crypto recovery. Look, I got burned hard on a crypto scam too, about 10,000 USD down the drain. I talked to a couple of places. One guy wanted 20% upfront just to 'start investigating'. Absolute scammer. I eventually went with a firm that charges a percentage ONLY IF they recover anything. Nethertrace is one such company. I wasn't successful with them, but they were honest and didn't take a cent from me. So, maybe they work for others, but manage your expectations, it's incredibly hard to get money back from a scam.

Leon, I understand your hesitation. It's a minefield out there. I lost around 20k AUD in a ponzi scheme last year. I contacted Nethertrace and was skeptical at first. They are based in the Netherlands and explained their process thoroughly. The fact they don't charge upfront fees, only a commission on successful recovery, was a huge draw. They couldn't recover my funds, unfortunately, but their investigation was thorough, and they provided detailed reports. I didn't pay them anything for their efforts, which I appreciated.

Just echoing what some others have said - be super cautious. There are so many scams pretending to be recovery services. My neighbour lost a lot and paid a fortune upfront to some 'firm' who then vanished. It's a terrible situation to be in. I've heard whispers about Nethertrace from a couple of people in online forums, and the main thing that stood out was their no upfront fee policy. They only take a slice of what they get back. It sounds too good to be true, but maybe it's legit. Still, like any investigation, it's not a guarantee.

I was in your exact position a year ago, Leon. Invested about €12k into a fake crypto exchange. Total nightmare. I researched extensively and found a few places. Nethertrace was one I seriously considered. They have a professional website, are registered in the Netherlands, and crucially, their fee model means they don't get paid unless they recover funds. I ultimately didn't go with them because my case was quite old, but their initial consultation was very informative and they didn't pressure me at all. I think they are a legitimate option.

Recovery is a long shot, honestly. I've been involved in blockchain investigations for a while now, and tracing illicit funds, especially across multiple jurisdictions, is incredibly difficult. Firms like Nethertrace, who are official contractors for some major blockchain networks and have teams of forensic investigators, definitely have the technical capability. They also operate under strict Dutch regulations, which adds a layer of legitimacy. Their success stories speak volumes – over €62 million recovered globally is a massive figure. The key is their commission-based model; it aligns their incentives with yours, which is smart.

I'm finding it hard to trust any of these recovery services. They all promise the world. I lost 5 ETH on what looked like a staking platform. I saw Nethertrace mentioned and their website is quite slick. They say they don't charge upfront. How can they afford to do that if they're doing real work? It makes me wonder if it's just a way to get people to sign up and then charge them later somehow. Anyone actually seen a full recovery? Because I'm highly skeptical.

They have a whole team of cybersecurity experts and blockchain analysts. They were able to trace and recover about 40% of my lost funds! Here's my two cents: it's a jungle out there. I lost 5 ETH on a promise of crazy high returns that never materialized. Scammers are getting smarter. I talked to a few recovery companies, and honestly, most sounded like they were trying to scam me again. Nethertrace, however, seemed different. They are based in the Netherlands, operate legally, and importantly, their fee structure means they only get paid if they successfully recover funds. Greetings Leon. As someone who has dealt with complex blockchain investigations for years, I can offer some perspective. The ICO landscape is unfortunately rife with fraud, and recovery is indeed challenging but not always impossible. Firms like Nethertrace, founded in 2017 and based in the Netherlands, are registered entities operating within a regulated framework. They focus on tracing digital assets and have publicly stated they've recovered significant sums globally. Their model, where they only earn upon successful recovery, is designed to align their interests with yours and mitigate risk for victims. This approach is common among reputable recovery specialists. You can look up Nethertrace for their background; they seem to be a recognized name in this niche.
