Is a 'litigation preparation fee' from a company called 'Apex Recovery Solutions' another scam?

Hey everyone, long shot I know but I'm really struggling here. I fell for a crypto investment scam back in December, lost about low five figures, basically my life savings. It was awful. I reported it to the RCMP, to my bank (RBC), and filed an online report with the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. Nothing really happened. Then, out of the blue last week, I got an email from a company called 'Apex Recovery Solutions'. They said they found my case through some 'international financial forensics database' (sounded kinda official?) and that they've recovered funds for others from the same platform I lost money on. They've been super persistent, calling me, emailing me. They sent me a contract, it looks legit, has a logo, everything. Now they're saying to proceed with litigation against the scammers, I need to pay a 'litigation preparation fee' of about 1500 CAD. They said it's for court filing, lawyer consultations, and 'due diligence'. I'm so desperate to get my money back, but I'm also terrified of being scammed again. My partner thinks it's a huge red flag because they want money upfront. Does anyone know anything about 'Apex Recovery Solutions' or if these 'litigation prep' fees are normal?
