Is 'Crypto Recover Inc.' asking for an 'AML compliance fee' just another scam for my lost funds?
Alright, so I got hit hard a few months ago by a crypto investment scam. Lost about $8,000, which was basically my life savings after a tough year. I was pretty devastated, reported it to my local police here in Calgary, but didn't really hear much back. Then, out of nowhere, I get an email from a company called 'Crypto Recover Inc.' saying they tracked my funds and can get them back. They sounded really professional, sent me some 'case studies' and even had a fancy website. After a few calls, they're now asking for an 'AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliance fee' of about $750 before they can release my funds. They say it's standard procedure for international transfers of recovered assets. I'm desperate to get my money back, but after getting burned once, I'm super paranoid. Is this a legitimate fee or am I about to get scammed again?
A company called 'Recovery Pro' wants an 'anti-fraud clearance fee' for my lost crypto – is this legit?
Hey everyone, I'm feeling sick to my stomach about this. Back in November, I lost about 8k USD in a crypto investment scam. It was one of those 'high-yield' platforms my friend told me about. Anyway, I've been wallowing ever since. Out of the blue, I got an email a few days ago from a company calling themselves 'Recovery Pro'. They said they track lost funds and can help get my money back. They even knew the platform name and roughly how much I lost, which kinda freaked me out but also gave me a tiny bit of hope. After a couple of calls, they're now asking for an 'anti-fraud clearance fee' of about $750 to 'unlock' my recovered funds. They promise it's the last step. My gut is screaming scam, but a part of me, the part that's still hurting from that 8k, just wants it to be real. Has anyone heard of this 'anti-fraud clearance fee' or 'Recovery Pro'? Is this how recovery actually works, or am I about to get scammed again?
