A company called 'Claim Shield' reached out about my crypto losses. They're asking for a 'digital wallet activation fee' — is this legit or another scam?
Ugh, I'm so fed up. So, like, six months ago I fell for this crypto investment scam. Lost about 8k, pretty much all my savings at the time. I reported it to the FTC and my bank but honestly, didn't hear much back. Now, out of nowhere, I get this email from a company called 'Claim Shield'. They said they saw my report, which kinda freaked me out, but also gave me a tiny bit of hope. They're claiming they can recover my funds but need a 'digital wallet activation fee' before they can transfer anything back. It's not a huge amount, like $500, but after what happened before, I'm super paranoid. Is this how actual recovery works? Or am I about to get scammed a second time? My gut is screaming no, but a part of me really wants my money back.
