Is 'Claims Recovery Group' asking for a 'customs clearance fee' to get my crypto back legit?
Hey everyone,
i'm really at my wits end here. I lost a significant amount of crypto, like, low five figures, in a pig butchering scam back in November. I reported it to the local police here in Singapore and the FBI IC3, but honestly didn't expect much. Then, a few weeks ago, I got an email from 'Claims Recovery Group' saying they could help. They had some details about my original scam that seemed pretty accurate, which freaked me out a bit, but also made me think maybe they were legit.
They've been in touch, shown me a 'screenshot' of my funds supposedly frozen in some offshore account, and now they're saying I just need to pay a 'customs clearance fee' to release everything. It's about 3k USD. My gut says no, given I already lost so much, but a small part of me is desperate. Has anyone dealt with these guys or anything similar? Is this just another way to take more money from me?
