Is 'Global Recovery Initiatives' asking for a 'digital wallet validation fee' a recovery scam?
Hi everyone, I really need some advice. I got hit by a crypto investment scam about six months ago, lost around 15k USD in a fake FX platform. It was devastating, honestly. Just trying to move on.
Then, out of nowhere, I got an email from a company calling themselves 'Global Recovery Initiatives.' They claimed they track down lost crypto and recover funds for victims. They even mentioned the platform I lost money on, which felt creepy but also kind of hopeful, you know? They said they've identified some of my lost funds and can help me get them back. But, they're asking for a 'digital wallet validation fee' of about $1,200 USDT to proceed. They say it's to ensure my wallet can receive the recovered assets securely and quickly before they initiate the transfer.
I'm so desperate to get my money back, but I'm also terrified of being scammed again. It feels like a loop. Has anyone dealt with this 'Global Recovery Initiatives' or something similar? Is this 'digital wallet validation fee' a normal thing for legitimate recovery services, or is it just another trick?
