A company called 'Global Recovery Solutions' wants a 'cryptocurrency vault validation fee'. Is this another scam?
Hey everyone, I'm really at my wit's end here. I was hit pretty hard by a crypto investment scam last year, lost about $12k, which was most of my savings. I reported it to the FBI IC3 and local police, but honestly, didn't hear much back. Anyway, about two weeks ago, I got an email from 'Global Recovery Solutions'. They said they saw my IC3 report (which weirded me out, how'd they get that?) and claimed they could recover my funds, said they track crypto. Sounded like a godsend, you know? After a few calls, they're now asking for a 'cryptocurrency vault validation fee' of $1,500 before they can release my funds. They said it's to 'authenticate the recovery wallet' or something. It feels too much like another upfront payment, and I'm so scared of getting scammed again. Has anyone heard of these guys, or this 'validation fee'? Or am I just getting hopeful for nothing?
