My 'master trader' on copy-trading platform is asking for a 'fund validation fee' to unlock my withdrawal?
Hey everyone, I'm really freaking out here. I got into this copy-trading thing a few months ago after seeing these amazing returns someone posted online. They linked me to a platform, and I put in about 8k USD initially, then another 5k when the 'master trader' I was copying started showing insane profits. It all looked so real, the platform interface, the trades happening, my balance growing steadily.
Now I tried to withdraw a small amount, like 2k, just to see how it works. And guess what? The 'support' told me my funds are locked because of 'unusual profit activity' and I need to pay a 'fund validation fee' – another 10% of my balance, before I can withdraw anything. The master trader is also pushing me to pay it, saying it's standard. I'm in Dubai, and I've never heard of this. Is this a new thing? Or am I being scammed? I feel so stupid. Any advice would be so appreciated.
