A company called 'Global Asset Protectors' wants a 'blockchain validation fee'. Is this another scam?
Hi everyone,
I'm so frustrated right now. I lost a significant amount of crypto last year, about 15k USD equivalent, to a fake investment platform. I reported it to the police here in Singapore, but they basically said it's a long shot. Anyway, a few weeks ago, I got an email from a company calling themselves 'Global Asset Protectors'. They said they track these things and found my case, and that they can recover my funds.
They sound really convincing, sent me a 'case brief' and everything. But now they're asking for a 'blockchain validation fee' to 'verify my original transactions' before they can proceed. It's about 1,500 USD. They say it's refundable, but only after recovery is complete. It feels like another trap, you know? I'm already out so much money. Has anyone dealt with these guys or a similar request? Is this a standard procedure, or am I about to get scammed again?
