Lost my crypto to a 'financier' from a book club app, now what can I do from Halifax?

Feeling totally gutted right now. I met this person through a book club app, not even a dating app, but things developed, you know? They seemed so smart and successful, always talking about finance and crypto. Eventually, they convinced me to 'invest' in this platform they used, saying it was super exclusive and had insane returns. I moved a decent chunk of my savings, about low five figures, onto this site, thinking I was building a future with them. We even talked about buying a house together, ffs. Now, the site's gone. Poof. And so is 'he'. My heart's broken, but my bank account is too. I'm in Halifax, Canada. I've heard about the FBI IC3 and stuff, but I'm Canadian. Does anyone know what I should even try reporting to here? Is there any point? I feel so stupid for falling for it. Any advice would be appreciated, seriously.
