Is 'Global Claims Recovery' asking for a 'proof of claim' fee just another scam after I lost my crypto?
Okay, so I was hit really hard a few months back by one of those fake investment platforms. Lost about 12,000 euros, mostly in BTC. It was devastating, my partner and I had saved for ages for a house deposit. I've been so embarrassed and didn't tell many people, but I reported it to the local police here in Nijmegen. Nothing really came of it, just a reference number.
Then, out of the blue, I get an email from a company called 'Global Claims Recovery'. They said they found my case through a "public database of scam victims" and offered to help recover my funds. They even knew the approximate amount I lost, which was kinda creepy but also made me hopeful. Now they're asking for a 'proof of claim' fee – around 1,500 euros – to proceed. They say it's for legal filings and verifying ownership of the lost assets. Is this legit, or am I about to get scammed *again*? I really don't have another 1,500 euros to lose.
