My savings are gone after a fake 'liquidity mining' platform, anything I can do to get it back?
Hey everyone, I'm in a really bad spot right now. I met someone on social media a few months back, and they slowly convinced me to invest in what they called a 'high-yield liquidity mining platform.' It looked legitimate, had a slick interface, and even showed daily returns at first. I started with a small amount, saw it grow, and then put in everything I had saved, about 18,000 USDT. They kept pushing me to add more, saying the returns were guaranteed. Now, the platform is gone. The website is offline, and the person I was talking to deleted their account. My wallet shows a transaction where all my USDT was moved out to an address I don't recognize. I feel so stupid, I should've known better. I've heard about Chainalysis, but honestly, I don't even know where to begin. Is there *any* chance of getting my money back? Or is it just gone forever? I'm based in Abu Dhabi, if that helps.
Crypto 'wallet drainer' after fake 'learn to trade' webinar, can I get my tokens back?
i'm kicking myself so hard right now. i saw an ad on facebook, seemed legit, for a 'free crypto trading masterclass' webinar. it was actually quite convincing, they had professional-looking slides, talking about market analysis and everything. at the end, they said they'd share 'premium indicators' if we connected our wallet to their 'secure dashboard' via a QR code. i was on a roll, feeling smart after the webinar, and just scanned it with my Trust Wallet. boom. literally minutes later, my entire balance, mostly ETH and some Link tokens, was gone. like, completely wiped out. i checked the address it went to on Etherscan and it's some fresh wallet with a bunch of other transactions. i feel so stupid. i filed a police report here in Liverpool but they just gave me a crime number. is there *any* way to track this or get my crypto back? i just can't believe i fell for something so obvious.
