Is a 'blockchain forensic analysis fee' from 'Funds Recovery Group' just another scam for my lost crypto?
Ugh, so, after losing a pretty significant chunk of crypto to a fake investment platform back in March (still kicking myself, honestly), I got an email last week. It's from 'Funds Recovery Group' and they say they've identified my lost funds and can help me get them back. They sound super official, like they've really tracked everything. But they're asking for a 'blockchain forensic analysis fee' upfront, about $1,500. They said it's to cover the specialized tools and expertise needed to actually unlock and trace the transactions. My partner thinks it's definitely a scam, but a tiny part of me is desperate. I just don't want to lose *more* money. Has anyone dealt with these guys or heard of this fee before? Is this legit or am I about to get scammed again?
