A company called 'Reclaim Solutions' is asking for a 'tax clearance certificate fee' to get my money back. Is this legit?
Hey everyone, I'm feeling so lost right now. I lost a significant amount, like low five figures, in a crypto investment scam last year. It was one of those 'pig butchering' things, where someone I thought was a friend introduced me to it. I was so embarrassed and didn't tell anyone for months.
Anyway, a few weeks ago, I got an email out of the blue from a company called 'Reclaim Solutions'. They said they had tracked my lost funds and could recover them. They even sent me a screenshot of a transaction ledger that looked somewhat convincing, showing my funds 'frozen' but accessible.
They're now asking for a 'tax clearance certificate fee' to process the release. It's about 2,000 USD. My gut is screaming scam again, but a small part of me desperately wants this to be real. Has anyone heard of this fee? Is this a common thing for legitimate recovery? I'm based in Singapore, and I've never heard of such a certificate.
