A company called 'Refund Rescue' wants an 'anti-money laundering clearance fee'. Scam?
Hey everyone, I'm feeling sick to my stomach just thinking about this. About six months ago, I got caught up in a crypto investment scam, lost nearly 15k EUR, everything I had saved for a house deposit. I reported it to An Garda Síochána but honestly, didn't hear much back. Now, this company called 'Refund Rescue' contacted me out of the blue. They said they specialize in recovering funds from these types of scams and even mentioned the name of the dodgy platform I used, which really surprised me. They've been super professional, showing me what look like legitimate documents, and now they're asking for an 'anti-money laundering clearance fee' before they can release my recovered funds. It's about 2,000 EUR. I'm desperate to get my money back, but I also don't want to get scammed again. Is this a common practice? Or am I being targeted again by these sharks?
