My unregulated broker 'GlobalTradeX' is suddenly asking for a 'risk assessment fee' to withdraw. Scam?
Hi everyone, I'm feeling sick to my stomach. I put a fair bit of savings, about 8,000 euros, into GlobalTradeX a few months ago after seeing an ad on social media. My 'account manager' was really convincing, showing me good returns, and I honestly thought I was finally making some smart money moves. I'm usually so careful, but I just fell for it, didn't I?
I tried to withdraw some of my 'profits' – just a thousand, to test it, you know? But now they're saying I need to pay a 'risk assessment fee' of 500 euros before they can process *any* withdrawal. This wasn't mentioned anywhere before. When I pushed back, the 'manager' got really aggressive, saying it's standard procedure for accounts my size. It doesn't feel right. Has anyone else encountered this with GlobalTradeX or other unregulated brokers? Is this just another tactic to get more money out of me and will I ever see my funds?
