My Binance account was suddenly restricted. Support replies with template responses. Funds are inside.

Account freezes at Binance and other Tier-1 exchanges almost always fall into one of three buckets:
- Risk-flagged deposit: you received funds from an address with KYT (know-your-transaction) risk — a known scam wallet, mixer, sanctioned entity, or darknet market.
- KYC re-verification: documents have expired or jurisdiction policy changed.
- Court order or law-enforcement preservation request.
What actually works:
- Submit a complete, polite ticket via the live-chat path (not email). Reference your UID and provide the source-of-funds explanation in a single message with documents attached.
- If 14+ days pass without movement, escalate via Twitter (publicly). The Binance support handle does respond to escalations there.
- For sums over $25k, a written letter from a regulated lawyer in your jurisdiction moves things faster than any number of support tickets.
If the freeze is a law-enforcement preservation request, the exchange legally cannot tell you. In that case you need a lawyer to file for disclosure.
