My Binance account was locked after I clicked a 'security alert' link, did I just get phished?
Feeling absolutely sick to my stomach right now. I got an email, looked super legit, said it was from Binance about 'unusual login activity' and that I needed to verify my account immediately. It had the Binance logo, all the right branding, everything. I panicked, saw the 'click here to secure your account' button and just... clicked it. Went to what looked like a Binance login page, entered my info, then it just refreshed. Felt weird almost instantly. Tried to log into my *real* Binance app a few minutes later and boom – password incorrect. Tried again, then my account showed as locked. I contacted Binance support, and they're doing their security checks, but it's radio silence basically. I had a decent chunk of ETH and some USDT in there, nothing crazy, but it was money I really couldn't afford to lose. I'm wondering if this was a phishing scam and if my crypto is gone for good. Has anyone else experienced this with Binance or similar exchanges? What are my options here? Do I even have any options?
Lost my crypto to a fake 'rewards program' from Binance via a sponsored Instagram ad. Any hope?
Feeling really stupid right now. I saw this ad on Instagram, looked super legit, like a Binance rewards thing, giving out some decent APY on staking. I clicked it, it led to a site that looked *exactly* like Binance, asked me to connect my wallet (Trust Wallet), and I did. Next thing I know, my USDT and some ETH are gone. Literally watched my balances go to zero. It was about 4500 USD total. I freaked out, tried to reverse it, obviously couldn't. I've heard about these 'wallet drainer' scams but like... I thought I was more careful. Did I just hand over my crypto? Is there *any* way to get it back? My partner is gonna kill me when they find out. I feel sick.
My Trust Wallet was drained after clicking a fake Binance email link, is my crypto gone?
I'm so upset right now, I don't even know where to start. I received an email that looked super legit from Binance yesterday afternoon, saying my account had some suspicious activity and I needed to verify immediately. I clicked the link, logged in with my Trust Wallet (I use it for most of my crypto) and it just... spun for a bit. I didn't think much of it until this morning when I woke up and checked my wallet – literally everything is gone. My ETH, USDT, some BNB, all of it. The transactions are there on Etherscan, shows it went out pretty much immediately after I clicked. I feel so dumb. Is there *any* way to get it back? I've reported it to Binance but they said they can't do anything about transactions from an external wallet. Please, any advice helps. This was a significant amount for me.
Sent crypto to a spoofed 'Binance Wallet' app, wallet drained - can I get it back?
Guys, I'm absolutely devastated. I downloaded what I *thought* was the official Binance Wallet app from an ad I saw on social media – Facebook, I think. It looked super legit, the interface, everything. I logged in with my actual Binance credentials and then tried to transfer some ETH from my main Binance account to this 'wallet' app. I wanted to stake it, you know? The transfer went through fine initially, confirmed on Binance, but then when I checked the 'wallet' app, nothing. And then a few hours later, my entire main Binance account got drained, not just the ETH I sent but everything else too. I changed my passwords, enabled 2FA everywhere, but the crypto's gone. Is there any way to trace this or get it back? Feeling really stupid right now. Any advice would be amazing.
Lost a load of crypto to a fake 'Binance' login page, is there ANY hope for recovery?
Feeling absolutely devastated right now. I was trying to log into my Binance account last night, really late, around 2 am, and I clicked on what I thought was their official link from a Google search. The page looked spot on, exactly like Binance. I put in my login details, then my 2FA code, and it just… refreshed. Thought it was a glitch, tried again, same thing. By the third time, a horrible feeling hit me. I checked the URL properly, and it was slightly off - like `biinance.com` instead of `binance.com`. Panic set in. I immediately went to the real Binance, changed my password, but it was too late. My wallet was drained. Everything gone. About £8,000 worth of crypto. I've reported it to Binance support, but they just sent me a generic email saying they can't recover funds sent off-platform. Is there *anything* at all I can do? I feel so sick to my stomach, like a complete idiot.
Crypto 'staking' platform collapsed, lost everything - is there any hope for recovery?
Hey everyone, feeling completely devastated right now. I put a significant chunk of my savings, honestly like low five figures, into a crypto staking platform that promised crazy daily returns – we're talking 1.5-2% a day. A friend introduced me to it, and for a few months, it actually paid out like clockwork. I even referred a couple of friends... which makes this even worse. Everything was going great until last week when withdrawals suddenly stopped. Then the website went offline entirely, and their Telegram group disappeared. It was called 'SwiftYield Global' or something similar, can't even remember the exact name now, my head's a mess. It just vanished. I'm pretty sure it was a Ponzi scheme now, paying old investors with new money. I transferred funds from my Binance account. Is there any way to trace this, or is all my crypto just gone? I've heard about blockchain analytics but don't even know where to start.
