Where do I go, what info do I include, and does it actually do anything?

Go to ic3.gov and complete the complaint form. Include:
- All wallet addresses you sent to and the platform/website name.
- Every transaction hash, amount, and date.
- Communication channels (phone numbers, Telegram, WhatsApp, dating app handles).
- Screenshots of the platform, conversations, and deposit confirmations as PDF attachments.
- The total dollar value lost.
Does it do anything? Individually, IC3 reports rarely result in direct recovery for the reporter. Collectively, they feed the FBI's pattern-matching, drive enforcement actions like Operation Shamrock, and freeze wallets through the Virtual Asset Unit. Always file, even for losses you consider too small to matter — your report may be the one that crosses a threshold for action.
