How can I recover stolen crypto that was withdrawn from my Binance account?
Someone gained access to my Binance account through a SIM swap and withdrew 0.8 BTC to an external wallet. What can I actually do at this point?

First, act in this exact order — speed matters more than anything else:
- Lock the account: contact Binance support through the live chat in the app (not email) and request an immediate withdrawal suspension. Reference the IP, device, and transaction hashes.
- File a police report the same day. Without a case number, Binance compliance cannot legally share information with anyone, including you.
- Subpoena-ready trace: pull the destination address from the withdrawal email and run it through a blockchain explorer. Note every hop.
- Report to your carrier — the SIM swap is a separate crime and the carrier may owe you damages.
If the funds were moved to another centralized exchange you have a real chance: law-enforcement-facilitated freezes happen daily. If they went into a mixer like Tornado or Wasabi, recovery becomes a forensics problem — possible but expensive.

Adding to David's answer: the destination address is everything. Within 48 hours most BTC theft proceeds get split across 5–15 addresses and then bridged to TRON USDT, which is the current cash-out rail of choice.
For complex multi-hop cases involving bridges or mixers, professional forensics firms like Nethertrace can produce a chain-of-custody report suitable for court filings and exchange freeze requests. Don't pay anyone who promises 'guaranteed recovery' upfront — that's almost always a recovery scam itself.
