My unregulated broker, 'ProFX Trades', wants a 'KYC processing fee' to release my funds. Is this a final trick?
Hi everyone, I'm really panicking here. About three months ago, I got sucked into what I thought was a great investment opportunity with an online broker called 'ProFX Trades'. A friend of a friend recommended them, saying they had amazing returns on crypto and forex. I put in about $7,000 CAD, which is a huge amount for me, and for a while, the numbers on their platform looked good. I saw my 'balance' go up significantly.
Now I tried to withdraw some profits – just $1,500 to test the waters – and suddenly they're demanding a 'KYC processing fee' of 10% of my total balance before they'll release anything. They're saying it's for 'international compliance' because I'm in Canada. I've already sent them copies of my ID and utility bills when I signed up, so I don't understand why they need *another* fee for KYC. My gut is screaming scam, but I'm desperate. Is this a common tactic? Should I pay it? I can't afford to lose any more money.

Alright, Olivia, listen close. This is a classic move from these unregulated outfits. They hook you with promises, let you see phantom profits on their rigged platform, then when you try to withdraw, they hit you with fee after fee. KYC processing fee, tax fee, AML fee, liquidity fee, compliance bond – name it, they've used it. The moment they ask for *additional* money just to *release* money that's supposedly yours, it's a red flag waving like a madman.
You already did KYC. That's a one-time thing, especially for identifying yourself. They're not going to 'process' it with another payment from you; they're trying to extract more funds. If you pay this 10%, believe me, a new fee will pop up right after. It's an endless loop designed to bleed you dry until you give up or run out of money. You're not alone, this is a common tactic we see all the time from entities like FXChoice or others that aren't overseen by real regulators like ASIC or BaFin. Your money was probably gone the moment you transferred it. Stop sending them any more funds. Your focus now needs to be on reporting and exploring recovery, not paying more.
Oh wow, Olivia, I'm so sorry you're going through this. That's absolutely horrible. My heart goes out to you. That 'KYC processing fee' sounds exactly like how these predatory brokers operate. It's a total scam. They keep inventing new fees to try and get more money out of you. You've already sent your ID, so this is just another hurdle they've put in place to stop you from getting your money back. Don't pay it, honestly. You'll just be throwing good money after bad. It's a hard lesson, but you're not alone.
A 'friend of a friend'. Classic. And a 10% 'KYC processing fee'? Come on. If you already did KYC, why would you need to pay again? And 10% of your *entire balance*? That's not how anything legitimate works. It's a made-up fee to see if you'll throw more money at them. Your money is probably gone. Sucks, but that's the reality with these 'unregulated brokers'. Live and learn, I guess.
Olivia, this is a very dark signal. In Germany, our financial regulator BaFin would never allow a legitimate broker to operate this way. KYC is for identification, not for generating extra income for the broker. It is a one-time process to comply with anti-money laundering regulations. To demand a significant percentage of your balance for this is a clear scam. Do NOT pay this fee. If you do, they will invent another one immediately. Your funds are almost certainly already lost. Your focus should be on reporting it to the Canadian authorities, like the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, and checking if your bank can do a chargeback, which is a small hope but worth trying.
Don't pay it, Olivia. Seriously, don't. This is exactly what happened to a colleague of mine from Nantes, but with 'EuroFX'. They kept asking for 'tax fees', then 'withdrawal insurance', then 'AML fees'. It never ended. He lost like 8k euros just trying to retrieve his 'profits'. Every payment just led to another demand. It's a manipulation tactic. They're testing how much more you're willing to lose thinking you'll get the initial money back. It's a trick to extract every last cent they can.
Ugh, this makes me so angry and upset for you, Olivia. I went through something very similar last year with an unregulated broker that was supposedly in Mauritius. They also hit me with a 'compliance fee' after I tried to withdraw, and then a 'tax upfront' fee. I ended up losing double what I initially invested just trying to get my money out, thinking each payment would be the last. It wasn't. Please, please don't pay. It's a bottomless pit. I live in Pretoria and it felt incredibly isolating here when it happened. I wish I had known then what I know now.
This sounds all too familiar, Olivia. I was scammed by a broker that seemed to be based in the UK, but then I realized they were completely unregulated. When I tried to withdraw, they asked for a 'transaction verification fee,' which magically disappeared my funds. Then they asked for a 'tax clearance fee' on the 'profits.' Please, do not pay this 'KYC processing fee.' It's a lie. Your money is likely gone, and they are trying to get more from your desperation. Here in Ras Al Khaimah, we see many such scams originating from offshore entities. It's heartbreaking but true.
Hi Olivia, I just want to echo what others are saying: this 'KYC fee' is a scam. Full stop. It's a common trick to get more money out of victims. You've already done the legitimate KYC paperwork when you signed up. There's no such thing as an additional fee for *processing* it, especially one that's a percentage of your balance. It indicates they know you're keen to get your funds, and they're exploiting that hope. Don't engage further by paying. Consider speaking to your bank about any possible recourse and definitely report it to the authorities in Canada. Stay strong.
Oh my goodness, Olivia, I'm so sorry. This is exactly the trap I fell into with a platform called 'ApexMarkets'. They even had a fancy app and a 'personal account manager'. I deposited about 5000 Euros and when I wanted to take out 1000, they said I needed to pay a 'regulatory compliance fee' of 8% first. I was so scared of losing everything that I paid it. And guess what? Then they found another 'issue' – a 'tax pre-payment' that was even higher. I ended up losing so much more than my initial investment just trying to get it back. Please, don't make my mistake. Don't pay the fee. It's not legit.
Listen up, Olivia. This is almost textbook how they operate. Unregulated brokers, phantom profits, then when withdrawal time comes, they introduce a 'fee' that wasn't mentioned anywhere before. A 'KYC processing fee' is just an invented charge to fleece you further. Your money is gone, I'd bet. I've seen this too many times here in Johannesburg. These guys prey on greed and desperation. Don't give them a single cent more. Cut all ties. Report them to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. Your focus should be on damage control now, not on retrieving money that's already stolen.
This is a classic scam indicator, sadly. The 'KYC fee' is a fabrication. Legitimate financial institutions, if they even need additional KYC (which they usually don't if you've already provided documents), do not charge a fee for it. They have already verified your identity. ProFX Trades is not regulated, which is the first huge red flag. They likely never had your money invested and are trying to squeeze more out of you before they vanish. Do NOT pay it. Report them to the Canadian authorities, like the provincial securities regulator in your province.
Oh man, that sounds like such a stressful situation. I know it's hard when you see those numbers going up, makes you feel like you're doing something right. But honestly, that 'KYC fee' sounds super fishy. I had a similar thing happen with some fake crypto trading app last year, they wanted a 'tax' to release my 'winnings.' I just ignored it and they disappeared. Don't send them more money, I really don't think you'll get anything back then. Try reporting them through the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
Yeah, this feels like a scam 101. Why would they need *another* fee for KYC when you've already done it? Doesn't make sense. They're probably just inventing reasons to keep your money. I'm guessing 'ProFX Trades' isn't regulated by anyone official like the CFTC or ASIC, right? If they were, you could complain. But if they're not, they're likely offshore and untraceable. I wouldn't pay. You've probably lost the money already.
Wait — is this 'ProFX Trades' even registered in Canada? Or anywhere with a proper regulator like BaFin or MAS? Usually, when they pull stunts like this, it's because they have no oversight and can just make up rules. That 'KYC processing fee' is likely just a made-up hurdle. They want to see if you'll cave and send more money. It's a common scare tactic. Honestly, I'd chalk this up as a loss and freeze any accounts associated with it.
STOP. Do not pay this fee. This is 100% a scam. They've already got your initial investment, and now they're trying to pull another $700 from you. They will *never* release your funds, no matter what you pay. This is a classic advance-fee fraud. They prey on people's greed and desperation. You need to report this immediately to IC3 (Internet Crime Complaint Center) and your provincial securities commission. Do NOT send them another cent.
Ugh, this is awful. I've heard stories like this before. The fee is just something they invented to get more money out of you. It’s not a real thing. They probably aren’t regulated – check if they are by, say, the AFM in Netherlands or a similar authority where you are. If they aren't, they can just do what they want. I'd seriously consider not paying and reporting them. You might need to accept the money is gone, which is devastating, I know.
Sounds like a total scam. My uncle got burned by something similar a few years back with an outfit called EuroFX; they also kept asking for more money for 'fees' to release his 'profits.' He ended up paying them thousands more and never saw a dime. They weren't regulated at all. Check if ProFX Trades is registered with IIROC in Canada. If not, you're likely dealing with scammers. Don't pay the fee. You probably lost the initial $7000 already, unfortunately.
I've been through this. Mine was a fake forex platform, they wanted a 'transfer fee' after I'd already sent them like $10k. I paid it, thinking that would be the last step. Big mistake. They then came up with another 'tax' and a 'compliance fee.' They never stopped. It's a cycle of demands. Eventually, they just blocked me. You're lucky you haven't paid the extra fee yet. Learn from my mistake: cut your losses now and don't send them anything more. I reported it, but honestly, getting that money back is a long shot.
This sounds exactly like what happened to me. They told me I had made a lot of money, then asked for a 'security deposit' fee before I could withdraw. I paid it. Then they said my 'account was flagged' and I needed to pay an 'anti-money laundering fee.' I was so scared and confused. I reported it to the MAS in Singapore, but they said they couldn't help unless the company was licensed by them. I lost AUD 5,000. Please don't pay them anything.
Oh no, that sounds awful. I got caught by something similar with a fake investment platform. They showed me huge gains, then when I wanted to cash out a small amount, they asked for a 'validation fee'. I paid it, $500. Then they wanted another $1,000 for 'regulatory approval.' I felt so stupid and ashamed to have fallen for it. I argued with them, but they just said I had to pay or forfeit. I lost my money. Your gut feeling is right. Don't pay.
Hey, I know this is terrifying, but take a deep breath. That 'KYC fee' is a huge red flag. If they were legit and regulated, it wouldn't be a thing. Many legitimate brokers are regulated by bodies like the AMF France or ASIC. If ProFX Trades isn't regulated by a Canadian authority like the CSA (Canadian Securities Administrators), they're operating in a grey area, at best. Don't pay. Report them to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. It’s better to lose this $7000 than to send them more based on a lie.
Hang in there. This is a tough spot to be in, for sure. But that fee is almost certainly a scam. They're just trying to get more cash from you. It's a common trick when they know they can't hold onto your money forever because you're asking for it back. Search online for 'ProFX Trades reviews' and see if others have reported this. Also, check if they are regulated by your provincial securities commission. If not, which I suspect, then they're likely scammers. Stay strong and don't pay.
This is a very common scam, unfortunately. They invent fees like 'KYC processing,' 'transfer fees,' 'tax,' 'compliance fees' – anything they can think of to get you to send more money. They're not regulated, and they have no intention of ever letting you withdraw funds. If they were regulated, like by the FCA in the UK or the FSCA in South Africa, you'd have recourse. But for unregulated brokers, especially ones like FXChoice or EuroFX which are known scams, it's usually a total loss. Don't pay. Report it.
Ah, the ol' Nigerian Prince withdrawal. No, seriously though, this is textbook. They want more money because they know they're about to get caught or they're just packing up and leaving. That 'KYC fee' is fake. Legitimate brokers don't do this. Did you check if they're actually regulated by a serious body like the CFTC or BaFin? No? Then that's your answer. It's like finding out the casino you're playing at is run by toddlers. Don't pay it. Cut your losses. Report them.
I had a similar situation myself, with a platform called 'Quantum Invest Pro.' They kept demanding more money for different 'fees' before they'd release my supposed profits. I paid $2000 CAD in total, on top of my initial $5000 investment. They never sent me anything. Eventually, they just shut down their website. I reported it to the police and the provincial securities commission, but they said recovering money from overseas scammers is extremely difficult. Please, please do not send them any more money. It's gone.
Yeah, that sounds like a complete scam. My dad nearly fell for something like this last year. They told him he had won money but needed to pay a 'courier fee' to release it. He almost paid it, but I stopped him. I checked them out and they weren't licensed by the MAS or any other reputable agency. They were gone a month later. Don't pay. Your money is probably already lost, but paying more will just make it worse.
My friend got hit with this exact same thing – same story, broker name changed but the 'KYC fee' to release funds scam is identical. They ended up paying the fee, and guess what? They invented *another* fee. Then the site just vanished. They never got their money back. It's a common tactic used by unlicensed brokers to fleece people. Check if they're registered with, say, ASIC. If not, walk away and report them to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. They won't get your money, but you won't lose more.
Super sketchy. That 'KYC processing fee' is almost certainly fake. Most regulated brokers, like ones overseen by the FCA or similar bodies, don't charge this. They've already verified you. They're likely not regulated, hence the made-up fees. I'd check the BCSC (British Columbia Securities Commission) website to see if ProFX Trades is registered. If not, it's a scam. Don't pay. You've likely lost the initial money already.
Oh mate, that's rough. This sounds like a classic scam. They string you along with fake profits, then hit you with fees when you try to withdraw. It's a common tactic. Don't pay them a cent more. Honestly, you've probably lost the $7,000 already, but paying these fees will just dig the hole deeper. Report them to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. It’s run by the RCMP and is a good place to start for this kind of thing.
Just wanted to echo everyone else. The fee is a scam. If you want to know if a broker is legit, always check if they are regulated by a major authority. In Europe, that could be BaFin or AMF France. If they aren't, or if they are regulated by some obscure offshore entity with no real oversight, then it's a huge red flag. Don't pay. Report them to the relevant authorities in Canada. It’s unlikely you’ll see that $7,000 again, but don’t give them any more.
This is a classic advance-fee scam, sadly. The 'KYC processing fee' is a fabricated hurdle to extract more money from you. ProFX Trades is almost certainly not a real, regulated broker. They want to see if you'll pay more before they ghost you. Do not pay them a single cent more.
Oh gosh, that sounds terrifying. It’s so easy to get caught up in the promise of quick money, isn't it? My cousin lost a bunch of savings to something similar last year. That 'KYC fee' sounds like a massive red flag. Reputable places don't ask for *more* money to verify you when you're trying to withdraw. Don't pay it!
Unregulated? You've already made a mistake. This 'KYC processing fee' is a well-known trick. They won't release your funds, no matter how much you pay. It's gone. You should report this to Canadian authorities like the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) and also the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre. Filing a report is important, even if you don't get the money back, to stop them from targeting others.
Another one? This feels so familiar. My neighbour got hit with a similar story, but it was a 'tax charge' for withdrawing profits from what she thought was a trading app. They even sent her fake-looking documents. These 'brokers' prey on people's hope. That fee they're asking for? Pure fiction. Just forget about the money.
Hang in there! It feels awful when this happens, like you've been completely blindsided. Sending you good vibes. It's highly likely this is a scam tactic. They lure people in with fake profits and then pile on fees. Please, please do not send them any more money. It's almost certainly not coming back.
Don't fall for it! That's absolutely a scam tactic. If they were a legitimate broker in Canada, they'd be regulated by provincial securities commissions and possibly the IIROC. They wouldn't be asking for random 'processing fees' to release funds. Your $7,000 is likely lost, unfortunately. Sorry you're going through this.
I've been there. Felt like my stomach dropped out when they told me I needed to pay a 'verification deposit' for my 'account security' after I tried to cash out a winning lottery ticket online. Total rubbish. They just keep inventing fees. The only way to 'protect' yourself now is to stop sending money and accept it is gone. Report them. I reported mine to Action Fraud UK, but I heard nothing back.
Yeah, that fee sounds incredibly dodgy. A legitimate platform wouldn't have these surprise charges right at the withdrawal stage, especially when you've already provided ID. It's designed to make you pay more. Check if 'ProFX Trades' appears on any financial regulator lists, like the FCA in the UK or ASIC in Australia. If they're not listed anywhere official, it's a very bad sign.
This is a scam 100%. ProFX Trades sounds like one of those fake boiler room operations. They have no actual trading and just manipulate fake numbers on a website. The 'KYC' fee is just to get more cash from you. Cut your losses by not paying anything further. You can try reporting them to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, but honestly, getting money back from these types is nearly impossible.
Oh no, that's awful. It's so frustrating when things like this happen. You did the right thing by asking here. It's almost certainly a scam. They make it look real with fake profits, then hit you with these made-up fees. Please don't send them any more money. I know it's hard, but think of that $7,000 as tuition for a very expensive lesson about unregulated brokers.
Ignore that fee. It's a scam. They're likely not regulated by anyone credible in Canada, maybe not even at all. If they were, they'd have proper procedures. This is a common pattern: fake profits, then bogus fees to prevent withdrawal. You can file a report with the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (CAFC) online. It's free and might help them track these criminals, but don't expect to get your money back.
The fact that they are demanding a 'KYC processing fee' now, when you've already supplied documents, smells extremely fishy. What exactly are they 'processing' again? It's probably a made-up term to justify another charge. Legitimate financial institutions don't operate like this. If you look them up, do they show up on any reputable regulatory body sites like BaFin or the MAS? Probably not.
This is a textbook advance-fee fraud. The 'KYC processing fee' is invented. They are not a real broker and they have no intention of letting you withdraw any money. Ever. The good news is that you stopped after trying to withdraw a small amount. The bad news is that the $7,000 is likely gone. You *can* report them to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, but don't hold your breath for recovery.
Aw, that's such a rotten situation. It's completely understandable why you're panicking. My husband fell for a similar thing with some crypto scam early last year. They too wanted a 'compliance fee' after seeing fake profits. It's all smoke and mirrors. Don't pay them another cent. That 'fee' is just another way for them to steal from you.
Oh dear, that's a stressful situation! Sending you strength. It really feels like the rug has been pulled out from under you when this happens. That fee sounds like a huge red flag. Reputable brokers don't usually ask for payment *to* release funds you've earned. You've likely dodged a bullet by not paying it. Try to report them to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre, even if it feels hopeless.
It is indeed a common scam tactic. They create a fake trading platform showing gains, and when you want to withdraw, they invent fees like this 'KYC processing fee'. Since they are unregulated, there's no oversight. Your money is gone unless you are incredibly lucky and they just made a mistake. Do not pay them. You can report it to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
Ah mate, that's rough. Sounds like a classic scam. When they start asking for extra fees to release your own money, especially after promising the world, it's almost always a sign. I'd be checking if ProFX Trades is listed on any official regulator sites, like ASIC for Australia or the AMF for France. If they're not, that's your answer. Don't pay the fee.
This sounds incredibly suspicious. 'KYC processing fee' is not a standard term in legitimate financial services for withdrawals. Usually, KYC is a one-time verification step *before* you can operate fully, not a fee to get your money out. They probably want another 10% of your balance just to disappear. Report them to the Canadian financial regulators if you can find any, or at least the CAFC.
This is definitely a scam. They're called advance-fee fraud. The fake profits on the platform are meant to trap you. The 'KYC processing fee' is just another invented obstacle. They won't release your funds even if you pay it. You should report this to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (CAFC). They collect these reports and sometimes can provide resources, but recovering funds from such operations is extremely difficult.
That whole 'KYC processing fee' thing is a huge red flag. They are likely unregulated and trying to scam you out of more money. Your best bet is to accept the $7,000 as a loss and move on. Trying to fight these people or pay them more will likely just lead to more losses. Report them to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre online. They track these types of scams.
Oh mate, this is textbook. If they're asking for *any* fee to release your own funds, especially after you've already provided ID, it's a massive red flag. They're not a regulated broker if they operate like this. No legitimate place will demand a 'processing fee' or 'KYC fee' that conveniently lines up with a percentage of your balance. Don't send them another cent. It's gone, sadly. You can try reporting them, but success is rare. Maybe check if they claim to be affiliated with any regulator like ASIC here in Australia or similar bodies elsewhere?
I'm so sorry you're going through this. It sounds incredibly stressful. That 'KYC processing fee' sounds really dodgy, especially when you've already submitted your documents. I was scammed a few years back and they also came up with ridiculous excuses to hold onto my money. Don't pay it. Once they have your money, they just invent more fees. Keep all your communication with them, screenshots, everything. We're all rooting for you here.
This is a classic 'advance fee fraud' coupled with a phishing attempt, common with unregulated forex and crypto platforms. They lure you in with simulated profits, then invent fees when you try to withdraw. The 'KYC processing fee' is a made-up charge. Real brokers don't charge this. Report them to MAS if they somehow claim a Singapore connection, but honestly, it's more likely they're based somewhere with lax oversight. Never pay extra fees to withdraw. It's a scam.
Yeah, that sounds suss as. 'KYC processing fee'? Seriously? You already did KYC when you signed up, didn't you? Asking for more money to release funds you've already earned sounds like a joke, but not a funny one. If they were legit, they'd just process it. I'd be looking up what regulator supposedly oversees them. If they can't point you to a legit registration number with, say, ASIC, then it's probably a dud. Don't pay.
Oh, absolutely do NOT pay that fee. I fell for something similar years ago with FXChoice. They told me I owed taxes, then a 'withdrawal fee', then an 'anti-money laundering fee'. It never ends. They just keep inventing things. The money you see in the account is fake. They're not going to release anything. You've done your ID checks already, and that's what they use to make you think it's legit. You're not alone in this. Many of us have been there.
This is so common its sad. They make the 'profits' look good, then bam. Fee time. They are preying on the hope that you'll pay just one more small fee to get your money out. They know people are emotional when money is involved. Don't fall for it. These are almost always unlicensed operations. You can try reporting them to FINTRAC in Canada, but honestly, the chances of getting the money back are slim to none. Cut your losses and move on, sadly.
From a regulatory standpoint, demanding additional fees like this after initial onboarding and verification is highly irregular and points strongly towards an unlicensed entity. Reputable brokers operate under strict frameworks, like those overseen by the FSCA here in South Africa. They don't invent new charges to release client funds. Their business model relies on transparent commissions and spreads, not arbitrary fees. I’d strongly advise against paying this, as it won’t lead to a withdrawal.
This feels very much like an advance-fee scam. As someone who deals with financial regulations, I can tell you that legitimate brokers registered with authorities like the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) or IIROC (now part of CIRO) would not operate this way. KYC verification is part of the onboarding process, not an ongoing fee to release funds. They might ask for updated documents, but never a percentage-based fee like this. It's a tactic to extract more money. Don't pay it.
My first thought was 'uh oh'. That sounds exactly like the kind of nonsense my cousin got when he used a dodgy forex platform last year. They kept asking for more money for 'taxes,' then 'legal fees.' He paid nearly double what he initially invested before he realised it was a hole. Never believe them. If they're asking for a fee to release *your* money, that's the biggest scam signal there is. They're not regulated, simple as that. You can check if they claim to be registered with the CFTC, but I doubt it.
Right, so, 'KYC processing fee' to release funds? That's a load of crap. You already did the KYC, presumably. They're just stringing you along. If they were on the up-and-up, they’d release it or give a *very* clear, legitimate reason related to an actual regulatory requirement, not a percentage of your fake balance. Honestly, sounds like EuroFX all over again. Don't pay. Block them. Report them to WA Police cybercrime unit if you want, but don't expect miracles.
Don't pay it. I can't stress this enough. I lost €3000 to a similar scam a few years ago. They called it a 'transfer fee' and it was 15% of my withdrawal request. I paid it. Then they wanted another 'anti-fraud check' fee. It never stops. The money you're seeing is likely just numbers on a screen; it's not real. They disappear once they squeeze enough out. It HURTS, I know, but paying more will just make it worse. You've done the ID part; that's all they needed from you.
This is a very common scam tactic in the unregulated trading space. They will invent any excuse to charge you more. The concept of a 'KYC processing fee' to release funds is not a legitimate financial practice. Any broker regulated by bodies like MAS would have transparent fee structures outlined upfront. They would not surprise clients with arbitrary charges when trying to access their own money. Consider your initial investment lost and block communication with them.
A 'KYC processing fee' to release funds? That is highly suspicious. Legitimate financial institutions, like those overseen by BaFin, have very clear procedures. While they conduct KYC, it's part of the initial account setup, not a prerequisite fee for every withdrawal. If they are asking for this now, especially a percentage of your balance, it strongly suggests they are not properly regulated and are likely operating a scam. Do not pay them any more money.
I am so, so sorry. This is exactly what happened to me. They wanted a 'verification fee' from me, too. It was right after I tried to pull out my initial deposit plus a little bit of profit. I paid it – about $1000 USD – because I was scared and thought it was the only way. Then they asked for another fee. I never saw a cent again. They are professional thieves. They make it look real. Please, please don't send them any more money. You'll just lose that too.
Aw man, that's rough. Definitely don't pay that fee. They're just trying to get more cash off you. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is, right? Check if they have any accreditation with a real financial body – like ASIC, maybe? If they can't show you a clear registration number and proper licensing, then it's a scam. Save your money and your sanity. You did the right thing asking here first though.
