Unregulated MT5 broker 'GlobalTradeFX' disappeared with my funds, can I get them back?
Hey everyone, I need some help and maybe just to vent a bit. I got roped into this 'forex trading' thing about two months ago. It started with a sponsored ad on Instagram, then a chat on Telegram. This guy, called himself Alex, was super convincing. He got me to sign up with a broker called GlobalTradeFX, which used the MT5 platform. It all looked legit, you know? I put in about 5,000 EUR, made some good profits according to their dashboard, like it tripled. When I tried to withdraw last week, they just... froze the account. No emails, no replies to my messages. Their website is still up but the login just spins forever. I feel so stupid. I even checked their 'licensing' and it looked like some random number on Malta. Is there any way to recover my money from these scams? I live in Montpellier, this is a lot of money for me.
Bexchange won't let me withdraw my profits – are they a scam, and can I get my money back?
Hey everyone, I'm kinda panicking here. I've been trading with Bexchange (my.bexchanges.com) for a few months now. Started with a small deposit, thing were going okay, then i put in a bit more, ended up with around 8k profit supposedly. Started small, mostly forex pairs. My 'account manager' was super helpful at first, always pushing me to put in more, telling me about these 'guaranteed signals'. Anyway, I tried to withdraw a chunk of my profit, like half of it just to test it out. That was last week. They just keep saying there's 'compliance issues' or 'advanced verification needed' and now they're asking for a new 'tax payment' upfront before any withdrawal can happen. This doesn't sound right to me at all. My gut is screaming scam. I'm in Austin, USA, and they claim to be UK-based. I've tried calling their support number but it goes straight to voicemail after a few rings. Sent like 10 emails. Zero response. I stupidly used my debit card for the initial deposit but then wired money later. Is my money just gone? What can I even do from here?
My 'broker' 24Options denied my withdrawal due to 'unmet bonus terms' - is this a scam?
Hey everyone, I'm feeling really sick about this. I put about $7,000 into a platform called 24Options after seeing some ads online. They were super pushy to get me to deposit more, promising huge returns. I made a few trades, and the account balance looked good, like over $10,000. When I tried to withdraw $2,000 – just to test it out – they blocked it. They emailed me saying I hadn't met some 'bonus terms' because I accepted a bonus when I first signed up. I honestly don't remember accepting any bonus. Now they're saying I need to trade something crazy like 30 times my deposit *plus* the bonus before I can take anything out. It feels like they're just holding my money hostage. Is this a common tactic? What can i do from atlanta?
My savings are locked with 'GoldStone Markets' and they demand more fees. Is it a scam?
Ok, so, I feel really stupid about this. I signed up with this online trading platform called 'GoldStone Markets' a few months ago. They looked really slick, nice charts, everything. I started with a small amount, watched it grow (or so I thought). Then I put in, like, my entire savings, about 10k euros, hoping to get enough for a down payment on a place. Now, I try to withdraw, right? And suddenly there's a 'tax' to pay, then a 'KYC delay fee', and now they're saying I need to pay a 'liquidity provider' fee before they can release anything. Every time I pay one, another one pops up. Their 'support' is super pushy and keeps telling me if I don't pay, I'll lose everything. My stomach drops just thinking about it. I'm in Eindhoven, so I thought, maybe someone in the Netherlands or here knows about them? I'm so desperate.
Think I've been hit by a 'clone firm' – any hope getting money back from scam brokers?
Okay, so I feel like a complete idiot right now. I was looking into investing a bit of my savings, nothing huge, just wanted to try and grow it a little. I found this broker online, seemed legit, their website looked really professional, even mentioned they were regulated by the FCA. They even gave me an account manager who called regularly. I deposited about 5k EUR back in March. Fast forward to last week, I tried to withdraw a small amount – just to test it out, you know? And bam, all these fees suddenly pop up. 'Tax fees', 'AML compliance fees', 'transfer insurance'. They want another 1.5k EUR before I can even touch my money. My gut said no way, so I did some digging. Turns out, the *actual* FCA-regulated firm they claimed to be has a warning on their site about a 'clone firm' mirroring their details, even using similar domain names. I think I fell for it. Has anyone dealt with these clone scams before? Is there *any* way to claw back funds deposited by bank transfer from Ireland to some random Eastern European bank account? I'm honestly so stressed out.
Is there any hope getting my money back from IronFX offshore? They just froze my account!
I'm feeling so desperate right now. I put a fair bit of savings, about £15,000, into IronFX offshore after seeing some really flashy ads online. For a while, things seemed okay, I even made a small profit, though I never actually tried to withdraw anything. Now, for the last two weeks, I can't log in. My account is just 'frozen' – that's the message I get when I try to access it. Their customer service emails go unanswered, and the live chat I used a few times before is just gone. I called the number on their old website, but it's disconnected. I'm in the UK, and I know they're not regulated by the FCA here, which was a huge mistake on my part. Has anyone ever managed to get money back from these types of offshore brokers? Or am I just completely out of luck?
