My 'broker' OptionsStarsGlobal won't release my funds, now saying I need a 'profit tax fee'. Scam?
Hey everyone, I'm so stressed out right now. I got into online trading about six months ago through an ad I saw, and this guy reached out to me on WhatsApp. He seemed really legit, helped me set up an account with OptionStarsGlobal. I started with a small amount, then put in a bit more, like 8,000 euros in total. He kept showing me these amazing 'profits' on their platform, saying I'd made over 20,000 euros. I was so happy, thinking I could finally pay off some debts. But when I tried to withdraw, that's when it all went sideways. First, they said there was a 'transaction verification fee', which I stupidly paid. Then, they told me I needed to pay a 'profit tax fee' of 15% of my alleged profits, claiming it's for my country's tax authority before they can release anything. This feels really wrong. My 'account manager' is pressuring me, saying I'll lose everything if I don't pay. Has anyone dealt with this OptionStarsGlobal or this kind of 'tax fee' before? Is this a standard thing or am I just being scammed again?

When I tried to withdraw a few thousand, they told me I needed to 'upgrade' to a 'premium account' first to activate the withdrawal feature. It costs like 2500 euros. They say it's standard procedure for high-value accounts. This sounds really off to me, but I'm also desperate to get my money. Has anyone dealt with this with OptionsStarsGlobal or another broker? Is this a common scam tactic or legit?
