My 'broker' is demanding a 'fund transfer fee' to release my profits after I closed my account?
Hey everyone, feeling pretty stupid right now. I got lured into this forex trading thing, totally fell for the quick profit promises. It was with a platform calling itself 'EuroFX' – yeah, I know, red flags everywhere now. I managed to actually make some 'profit' according to their dashboard, like, low five figures. When I decided to cash out and close my account, they initially said everything was fine. But now, after waiting weeks, they're suddenly demanding a 'fund transfer fee' to process the withdrawal. They're saying it's for 'international compliance' or something vague like that. It's a significant amount, and I'm really worried this is just another tactic to get more money out of me. Has anyone experienced this specific 'fee' before? Is this a new scam or just standard for shady brokers? I haven't paid it yet. Any advice on what to do next would be a huge help.
My 'broker' is demanding a 'platform upgrade fee' to release my profits. Is this another scam tactic?
Bonjour tout le monde. I'm really at my wit's end here, feeling totally stupid for even getting into this. I was approached on Instagram by someone claiming to be a financial advisor, super friendly, showed me 'her' trading results. She convinced me to put money into an online trading platform, kept saying it was super secure and easy. Started with 500 euros, then she guided me to 'invest' more and more when I saw the fake profits growing. I ended up putting in about 12,000 euros in total. Now, after trying to withdraw my profits (which show as over 35,000 euros, lol), the 'broker' is telling me I need to pay a 'platform upgrade fee' of 2,500 euros before they can process *any* withdrawal. They sent me an official-looking document, but it just looks like something anyone could make. Is this a common thing? I'm scared I've lost everything. I tried calling them, but it just goes to voicemail or someone who says they can't help me with that. Any advice, please?
My 'broker' EuroFX is demanding a 'system access fee' to release my crypto. Is this legit?
Hey everyone, I'm feeling really stupid right now. I got into crypto trading a few months back, saw some ads for EuroFX and thought it looked legit. Made a decent 'profit' on paper, about 8k USD, and decided to withdraw some. But now they're saying I need to pay a 'system access fee' before they can process it. It's like, a 10% fee, so $800! They say it's for 'secure network protocols' and 'enhanced withdrawal speeds'. I've tried pushing back, saying I've never heard of such a thing with any other platform, but they're just sending me generic emails about terms and conditions. I'm in Winnipeg, Canada, and just trying to get my money back. Has anyone else encountered this 'system access fee'? Is this a new scam tactic or is it actually a real thing with some brokers? I'm totally freaking out.
My 'broker' is asking for a 'network security deposit' to process my withdrawal. Is this a new scam?
Hey everyone, feeling pretty dumb right now. I've been trading with this offshore forex 'broker' I found through an ad, they called themselves 'GlobalCapitalMarkets' or something similar. Everything was fine for a few weeks, I put in about 5k, saw my balance grow pretty fast on their platform – it looked like 18k! Anyway, I tried to withdraw a small amount last week, like 2k, just to test it out. They kept telling me it was 'pending review' for days. Then yesterday, my 'account manager' (who is super pushy btw) told me I need to pay a 'network security deposit' of 15% of my total balance before any withdrawals can be processed. He said it's 'standard protocol for high-value accounts' and 'to protect against cyber threats'. Is this real? I'm worried this is another fee scam. What should I do?
My 'broker' is asking for a 'profit conversion fee' for crypto profits. Legit or scam?
Hey everyone, I'm feeling so sick to my stomach about this. I've been trading crypto on a platform I found through an online ad, let's just call them 'GlobalTradeFX' (not a real name, just for privacy). I deposited some funds via bank transfer, and then more via crypto, and their 'analyst' helped me trade. My account balance shows a significant profit, which is great, or so I thought. Now, when I tried to withdraw, they're saying I need to pay a 'profit conversion fee' to convert my crypto profits into fiat before they can release it to my bank account. They're asking for about 15% of the profit. This sounds really dodgy to me. I've never heard of such a fee. Is this a common thing in crypto trading? Or am i being scammed? I'm in Singapore, and I'm really worried. I've put a lot of my savings into this. Any advice on what to do?
My 'broker' is asking for a 'withdrawal authorization fee' to release my crypto profits. Is this legit?
Hey everyone, I'm kinda freaking out here. I've been trading with this broker called EuroFX for a few months now, mostly crypto. I put in about 2k initially, and to my surprise, my account actually grew quite a bit, like low five figures. I was super excited, told my husband this might actually work out. But now, when I try to withdraw the profits, they're suddenly asking for a 'withdrawal authorization fee' – it's like 15% of my balance! They say it's for 'regulatory compliance' and to 'validate the funds for release'. I've never heard of such a thing. My legit bank in France, Crédit Agricole, never asks for a fee *before* a withdrawal. It feels really off, but they keep pressuring me saying if I don't pay it, my funds will be frozen indefinitely. I'm in Lille, France. What should I do? Is this normal for crypto brokers? Or am I being scammed?
My 'broker' FXChoice is asking for a 'profit verification fee' to release my crypto profits. Scam?
Okay, so I got lured into this crypto trading thing, seen some ads on social media about making quick cash. Put in about £2k initially, then another £3k when they said I was 'investing' in some hot new altcoin. My account with this 'FXChoice' broker actually shows like £15k profit now, which is wild right? But when I tried to withdraw, they're saying I need to pay a 'profit verification fee' of £1500 before they can release anything. They said it's for compliance and to prove the funds aren't from illicit activities. It seems really dodgy to me, like, why can't they just take it from my 'profits'? This is my life savings nearly. Is this a new scam tactic or is it legit? I'm in London, so thinking of reporting to FCA but not sure if they'd even help.
