My 'broker' is demanding a 'platform upgrade fee' to release my profits. Is this another scam tactic?
Bonjour tout le monde. I'm really at my wit's end here, feeling totally stupid for even getting into this. I was approached on Instagram by someone claiming to be a financial advisor, super friendly, showed me 'her' trading results. She convinced me to put money into an online trading platform, kept saying it was super secure and easy. Started with 500 euros, then she guided me to 'invest' more and more when I saw the fake profits growing. I ended up putting in about 12,000 euros in total. Now, after trying to withdraw my profits (which show as over 35,000 euros, lol), the 'broker' is telling me I need to pay a 'platform upgrade fee' of 2,500 euros before they can process *any* withdrawal. They sent me an official-looking document, but it just looks like something anyone could make. Is this a common thing? I'm scared I've lost everything. I tried calling them, but it just goes to voicemail or someone who says they can't help me with that. Any advice, please?
My 'broker' IronFX offshore is demanding a 'platform upgrade fee' before I can withdraw. Is this legit?
Hi everyone, I'm really panicking here. I've been trading with this 'broker' called IronFX offshore for about 6 months, mostly forex and some commodities. Everything seemed fine, I even saw my account balance grow pretty nicely, at least on their platform. I decided to try and withdraw some of my profits last week, just a small amount to test the waters, about £2k. My 'account manager' (who's been super pushy btw) told me I couldn't withdraw until I paid a 'platform upgrade fee' of £500. He said it was mandatory for all accounts to access the new, faster withdrawal system. It sounds completely dodgy to me. I've never heard of anything like this. Is this a common thing with brokers, or am i being scammed? What should i even do? I'm worried about losing everything.
