My 'broker' EuroFX just introduced a 'KYC re-verification fee' to release my crypto profits. Is this legit?
Feeling pretty desperate here. I invested a decent chunk, like, low five figures, with a broker called EuroFX based on some online ads. Everything was great at first, saw my 'profits' grow really quickly in their platform dashboard. When I tried to withdraw a few weeks ago, they asked for a 'tax clearance fee', which I stupidly paid. Now, they're saying I need to pay a 'KYC re-verification fee' of about $3,000 before they can process *any* withdrawal. They're claiming it's a new regulatory requirement or something. My alarm bells are ringing like crazy now. I'm in Seattle, tried calling my bank (Chase), but they said since it was a transfer from my side, they can't do much. Has anyone dealt with this 'KYC re-verification fee' from EuroFX or similar brokers? Is this just another tactic to steal more money?
