My 'broker' EuroFX just froze my account and is demanding a 'fund verification fee'. What do I do?
Hi everyone, I'm Michael from Hannover. I got into online trading about six months ago through some ads on social media, thought it looked promising. I put about 7,000 euros into EuroFX, and for a while, it seemed like I was making some profit, nothing crazy, but consistent. I even managed to 'withdraw' a small amount (like 100 EUR) back in the beginning, which made me trust them more. Now, I tried to pull out about 2,000 EUR because I needed it for an unexpected car repair, and suddenly my account is frozen. Their support told me I need to pay a 'fund verification fee' of 10% of my total balance before any withdrawal can be processed. They're saying it's for 'regulatory compliance' and to 'prove funds origin'. This sounds really fishy to me. Is this a new scam tactic or something legitimate that happens with brokers? I'm panicking a bit here. Any advice would be really appreciated.
My 'broker' EuroFX is demanding a 'fund verification fee' to release my withdrawal. Is this legit?
Hey everyone, Feeling pretty lost and stressed right now. I invested a decent amount, low five figures, with a broker called EuroFX a few months ago after seeing some really impressive returns on their platform. Everything seemed fine, my 'profits' were growing, and I thought I was doing great. Last week, I tried to withdraw some of my profits – not even the full amount, just a portion – and suddenly they're telling me I need to pay a 'fund verification fee' first. They say it's to confirm the origin of the funds before they can process the withdrawal due to 'international banking regulations'. They're asking for about 10% of my total balance, which is a lot for me right now, especially after putting in so much already. Is this a normal thing? I've never heard of a fee like this from any legitimate bank or broker. My gut is screaming scam, but I'm desperate to get my money back. Has anyone encountered this specific 'fund verification fee' before? What should I do?
