My Instagram account was hacked, now 'I' am scamming my friends. What can I even do?
Feeling totally sick to my stomach. My Instagram was hacked last night, I think around 11 PM GMT. I got a suspicious email, clicked something stupid, and boom, locked out. This morning, my mates are calling me, asking about some 'amazing crypto opportunity' I apparently posted on my stories and DMs. They're seeing messages from *my* account promoting some sketchy investment platform, asking them to send crypto. One friend actually lost a few hundred quid before she realised it wasn't me! I've reported it to Instagram, obviously, but they're useless. I've changed all my passwords everywhere. I feel awful that my friends might lose money because of me. What else can I do? Is there any way to report this so it actually *does* something? I'm in Dublin, Ireland, if that matters.
