Lost my crypto after investing in a supposed 'AI trading bot' – is it gone forever?
Ok, so I'm pretty embarrassed about this, but I really need some advice. I got sucked into one of those 'AI trading bot' things, supposedly super profitable. It was all on a really flashy website, promised like 15% returns a week, said it was using advanced algorithms and stuff. I transferred a decent chunk of ETH, like, all my savings after my last bonus, from my personal wallet to their platform. This was over a couple of weeks, small amounts at first, then a bigger one. Everything looked great on their dashboard, 'profits' were accumulating, but when I tried to withdraw, they hit me with a 'tax' fee, then a 'verification' fee, then a 'liquidity' fee. I paid one of them, but then it just kept escalating. Now their website is down and no one answers my emails. Feel like such an idiot. Did anyone else fall for this? Is there *any* way to get my ETH back? I'm in Ottawa, Canada, if that helps.
Lost a load of crypto holding PlusToken for high returns, is there any way to recover it?
Feeling pretty stupid right now. Back in like 2019, I put a significant amount of my crypto – mostly BTC and ETH – into PlusToken. Saw all these ads about crazy high monthly returns, like 10-30%, from 'AI trading bots' and thought I was being smart. My friend back then kept pushing me saying it was legit, everyone was making money. Used to check my account daily, seeing the numbers grow, but never actually took anything out. It was all virtual money, wasn't it? Then, poof, the whole thing collapsed, withdrawals stopped, and the founders got arrested. I tried emailing their support, but obviously, got nothing. Is there genuinely *any* hope for people who fell for PlusToken? I know it's ancient history in crypto terms, but the loss still stings. I'm in Singapore, if that matters for legal stuff.
