A company called 'Chain Trace Recovery' says they can 'hack' my scammer's wallet. Is this legit?
Hey everyone, feeling super stupid for even asking this, but I'm really desperate. I got absolutely rinsed by one of those fake investment scams last year – lost a decent chunk, about 8k, it was awful. Didn't even tell my partner for ages. Anyway, yesterday I got an email, unsolicited, from something called 'Chain Trace Recovery'. They claim they've developed some 'proprietary blockchain forensics tools' and can 'forcibly reverse transactions' by 'hacking' the scammer's wallet. They even sent me a link to a dashboard that supposedly shows my funds 'pending recovery'. They're asking for a 'network synchronization fee' of about 700 euro before they can 'release' my funds. It sounds too good to be true, especially after what I went through, but a small part of me is clinging to hope. Has anyone heard of these guys? Or is this just another layer of the same old BS?
