Bitcoin ATM scam - paid in cash, they got crypto. Is there any way to trace or recover it?

Feeling like such an idiot right now. I got caught up in this 'urgent bill payment' thing last week, super convincing. They told me i needed to pay a tax bill or something immediately using a Bitcoin ATM. I've never used one before, but they walked me through it on the phone, telling me exactly which buttons to press. Made me take out cash, go to this ATM, and basically send the crypto to an address they gave me. Like, about $4,500 gone in a flash. My wife is livid, and I'm just numb. Is there any actual way to trace these transactions since it started with cash, or am I just totally out of luck? I've heard about Chainalysis but idk if that's for people like me. Any advice would be appreciated.
