A company called 'Global Recovery Solutions' wants a 'cryptocurrency wallet validation fee'. Scam?
Hi everyone, I'm feeling sick to my stomach about this. I lost a significant amount of crypto (low five figures, mostly ETH) to a fake investment platform a few months back. It was a classic 'pig butchering' scam – met someone online, they convinced me it was a guaranteed return, I put in more and more, then poof, all gone. My partner is still mad at me, and I've been trying to deal with the fallout.
Now, out of the blue, I got an email from a company calling themselves 'Global Recovery Solutions'. They said they track crypto scams and found my case. They even knew some specifics, which freaked me out a bit, like what coins I lost. They're saying they can get my funds back, but they need a 'cryptocurrency wallet validation fee' first, which is like 800 quid. They claim it's to 'authenticate' my new wallet before they transfer the recovered funds. I'm so desperate to get the money back, but I'm also terrified of being scammed again. Has anyone heard of these guys or this fee? It feels like another red flag, but I'm just so hopeful.
