A company called 'Claim Shield' reached out about my crypto losses. They're asking for a 'digital wallet activation fee' — is this legit or another scam?
Ugh, I'm so fed up. So, like, six months ago I fell for this crypto investment scam. Lost about 8k, pretty much all my savings at the time. I reported it to the FTC and my bank but honestly, didn't hear much back. Now, out of nowhere, I get this email from a company called 'Claim Shield'. They said they saw my report, which kinda freaked me out, but also gave me a tiny bit of hope. They're claiming they can recover my funds but need a 'digital wallet activation fee' before they can transfer anything back. It's not a huge amount, like $500, but after what happened before, I'm super paranoid. Is this how actual recovery works? Or am I about to get scammed a second time? My gut is screaming no, but a part of me really wants my money back.
My 'broker' FXChoice is asking for a 'digital wallet activation fee' to release my crypto. Legit?
Hey everyone, feeling really stupid right now. I got into crypto trading a few months back, thought I was doing great with this broker called FXChoice. They were really helpful at first, you know, guiding me through trades, saying I was making good profits. I put in about 15k EUR over time, mostly from savings, trying to catch up on my mortgage. Now I wanted to withdraw some of my 'profits' – not even the whole amount, just a few thousand – and suddenly they're telling me I need to pay a 'digital wallet activation fee' of like 1,200 EUR before they can transfer anything to my personal crypto wallet. They say it's for 'regulatory compliance' and to 'activate' my wallet for large transfers. This just sounds off to me. I've never heard of anything like this from a legitimate exchange. Is this a new thing or am I getting scammed? I'm in bits here, tbh. Any advice would be huge.
My 'broker' is asking for a 'digital wallet validation fee' to release my crypto. Legit?
Hey everyone, I'm feeling really stressed out right now. I got into crypto trading a few months back, found this 'broker' through a Telegram group, seemed legit at first. They use this platform, GlobalTradePro, and I've put in a decent amount, like in the low five figures. My account shows good profits, which was exciting. So I finally tried to withdraw some of it, just a smaller amount to test the waters, and they're now telling me I need to pay a 'digital wallet validation fee' of about 15% of my withdrawal amount. They say it's to 'verify the compliance and security of my personal crypto wallet' before the funds can be released. This sounds fishy, but they're threatening to freeze my account permanently if I don't pay. I'm in Stuttgart, it's late here and I can't sleep. Has anyone heard of this before? Is this a standard thing or am I getting scammed?
