Lost a load of USDT after approving a malicious transaction on what I thought was Binance – total nightmare, can I get it back?
I'm in a total panic. Yesterday evening, I got a text message, looked super official, saying there was a 'security alert' on my Binance account and I needed to verify some transactions or it'd be locked. I clicked the link, it took me to what looked exactly like the Binance login page. I didn't even think twice, just logged in with my details. Immediately after, it prompted me to approve a transaction for a 'security check' or something. I saw it was for USDT, but I was so stressed about my account being locked, I just hit confirm on my Trust Wallet without really looking.
Then my trust wallet connected, and boom, like 3,500 USDT just vanished. Not into Binance, just... gone to some random address. I immediately logged into the REAL Binance app, checked my withdrawal history, nothing. The link from the text wasn't the real Binance URL, it was some weird misspelling. Feel like such an idiot. Is there any way to trace this or get my money back?
