Lost a load of USDT after approving a malicious transaction on what I thought was Binance – total nightmare, can I get it back?
I'm in a total panic. Yesterday evening, I got a text message, looked super official, saying there was a 'security alert' on my Binance account and I needed to verify some transactions or it'd be locked. I clicked the link, it took me to what looked exactly like the Binance login page. I didn't even think twice, just logged in with my details. Immediately after, it prompted me to approve a transaction for a 'security check' or something. I saw it was for USDT, but I was so stressed about my account being locked, I just hit confirm on my Trust Wallet without really looking. Then my trust wallet connected, and boom, like 3,500 USDT just vanished. Not into Binance, just... gone to some random address. I immediately logged into the REAL Binance app, checked my withdrawal history, nothing. The link from the text wasn't the real Binance URL, it was some weird misspelling. Feel like such an idiot. Is there any way to trace this or get my money back?
Has anyone recovered funds from a crypto exit scam before with Nethertrace?
Feeling totally gutted right now, honestly. I put a fair bit of money, over 10k GBP, into a supposedly new crypto exchange that promised really high returns. Everything looked legit, slick website, even had a Telegram group and everything. I was stupid, I know. But then, about a week ago, the website just disappeared. Poof. Gone. Can't access anything. My heart just sank. I've been doing some desperate searching online and came across a company called Nethertrace. They claim to specialize in recovering crypto from these kinds of scams. I even did their free case review and they said there's a possibility they could trace some transactions, but they obviously made no guarantees. I'm just so weary after being scammed once, I don't want to fall for another trick. Has anyone here had any personal experience with [Nethertrace](https://nethertrace.co) and actually recovered funds successfully from an exit scam or something similar?
