My 'broker' is asking for a 'digital wallet validation fee' to release my crypto. Legit?
Hey everyone, I'm feeling really stressed out right now. I got into crypto trading a few months back, found this 'broker' through a Telegram group, seemed legit at first. They use this platform, GlobalTradePro, and I've put in a decent amount, like in the low five figures. My account shows good profits, which was exciting.
So I finally tried to withdraw some of it, just a smaller amount to test the waters, and they're now telling me I need to pay a 'digital wallet validation fee' of about 15% of my withdrawal amount. They say it's to 'verify the compliance and security of my personal crypto wallet' before the funds can be released. This sounds fishy, but they're threatening to freeze my account permanently if I don't pay. I'm in Stuttgart, it's late here and I can't sleep. Has anyone heard of this before? Is this a standard thing or am I getting scammed?
