Lost my crypto after a fake 'Liquidity Pool' on Telegram, anything I can do?
Hey everyone, feeling pretty numb right now. I got lured into one of those 'liquidity pool mining' things on Telegram, someone I'd been chatting with for a while, totally seemed legit. They sent me a link to what looked like a Binance Smart Chain platform, said I just needed to connect my MetaMask and approve a contract to get daily returns. I put in a decent chunk of BNB and some BUSD, like about $8,000 worth. As soon as I approved the transaction, my wallet just got drained. All of it, gone. The person on Telegram blocked me, and the site is down. I feel so stupid. I’ve heard about blockchain tracing firms, but is there any actual hope for something like this? Or is it just gone forever?
Wallet drained after interacting with a fake 'Liquidity Pool' on Telegram, anything I can do?
Hey everyone, feeling pretty sick about this. I was on Telegram, joined a group that was talking about this 'new' liquidity pool offering insane APY on a stablecoin. It looked legit, they even had a 'manager' who seemed super helpful. I connected my Trust Wallet, thinking I was just checking balances, but then I signed what I thought was a small 'approval' transaction to stake. Next thing I know, my entire balance, over £7,000 in USDC and ETH, was GONE. Just vanished. I feel like such an idiot. It happened so fast. I've heard about wallet drainers but never thought it would happen to me. Is there ANYTHING that can be done? I've already reported it to Trust Wallet support, but they just sent an automated message about not being responsible for third-party dApps. I'm in Bristol, UK, and this was most of my savings. Any advice at all?
