Is 'MoneyBack Hero' legit? They're asking for a 'network de-encryption fee' after my crypto loss.
Ugh, guys, I'm feeling so stupid right now, but I need to ask. I lost a decent chunk of crypto a few months ago, about AUD 12,000, to one of those fake investment platform scams. I reported it to the Australian Federal Police but tbh I didn't hold out much hope. Then, out of the blue, someone from 'MoneyBack Hero' emailed me, saying they saw my report and had located my funds. They sent a really convincing report showing my wallet address and where the funds supposedly went. Now they're asking for a one-time 'network de-encryption fee' of AUD 1,500 to get it back. They say it's to access the 'dark web' where my crypto is stuck. This sounds a bit... off, right? Like, another scam? My gut is screaming no, but a tiny part of me is desperate to get my money back. Has anyone heard of MoneyBack Hero or dealt with this kind of fee?
Is 'Global Fraud Investigations' legit? They say they can retrieve my lost crypto but want a 'due diligence fee'.
Hey everyone, feeling really low right now. I lost about $7,000 in a crypto trading scam a few months back – the typical pig-butchering one where they groom you then disappear with everything. I've been wallowing ever since, reported it to the police here in Singapore, but honestly, didn't expect much. Then, out of the blue, I got an email yesterday from 'Global Fraud Investigations'. They said they track these things and found my case details through some 'international database' (which sounds a bit fishy, I know). They claim they can recover my funds, but they need an upfront 'due diligence fee' of about $800 to start the process. They've sent me a really professional-looking PDF with their 'terms of service' and everything. My gut is screaming 'scam again', especially since I already paid a fee to another group called MoneyBack Hero last month and got absolutely nothing. But part of me is desperate. Has anyone dealt with these 'Global Fraud Investigations' guys? Are they legit or just another bunch of vultures preying on victims?
Is 'MoneyBack Hero' a real recovery service or just another scam after my crypto loss?
Okay, so I was stupid and fell for a crypto trading scam a few months back. Lost about $8k, mostly my emergency fund. I felt so dumb. I reported it to the FTC and basically wrote it off. Then last week, I got an email out of the blue from a company calling themselves 'MoneyBack Hero.' They somehow knew about my specific loss, mentioned the platform name and everything. Said they specialize in crypto tracing and recovery, and they had a 'high success rate.' They're asking for a small upfront 'administrative fee,' like $500, to start the process. They even sent me a fancy PDF with their 'case studies.' My gut is screaming scam, but a tiny part of me, the part that's still hurting from losing that money, is wondering if it could actually be legit. Has anyone heard of them? Or used them? I really don't want to get scammed again.
