Is a 'legal opinion letter fee' from MoneyBack Hero another scam, or can they help me recover funds?
Hey everyone, I'm Adam from Paris. I was recently targeted by a crypto scam, lost a pretty significant amount, like low five figures. It was devastating, honestly. I reported it to the local police here but they just said it's very difficult to trace. Then, out of nowhere, I got an email from a company called MoneyBack Hero. They said they'd seen my case, somehow, and could recover my funds. They sound really professional on the phone, talking about blockchain forensics and international legal processes. They're now asking for a 'legal opinion letter fee' before they can proceed. It's about 1,500 euros. I'm so desperate to get my money back, but I'm also terrified of being scammed again. My partner thinks it's a trap. Has anyone dealt with these guys? Is this fee normal for recovery services, or is it just another way for scammers to get more money out of me? Any advice would be so appreciated.
Is a 'regulatory compliance fee' from MoneyBack Hero just another scam to get my lost crypto back?
Hey everyone, feeling pretty desperate here. I was one of those idiots who fell for a crypto investment scam last year, lost about $15,000, which was basically my life savings. I reported it to the local police here in Singapore and also tried contacting some online fraud hotlines, but nothing really came of it. It's been super depressing, I thought that money was just gone for good. Then, out of the blue, I got an email from a company called 'MoneyBack Hero'. They said they track down lost funds and can help me recover my crypto. They even had some details about my initial scam that felt a little too specific, which kind of made me think they might be legit. But now they're asking for a 'regulatory compliance fee' of like $1,500 upfront before they can start the process. They say it's to cover administrative costs for dealing with international financial regulations. Is this just another scam? I'm so scared of losing even more money, but a part of me really wants to believe them. Any advice?
