Wallet drained after connecting to a fake crypto 'pre-sale' site, is my ETH and BNB gone?
I really messed up, feeling so stupid right now. Saw an ad, not sure where exactly now, maybe Twitter or Discord, for a 'pre-sale' of a new token. It promised huge returns, like 100x minimum, and claimed it was backed by some big VCs. The website looked legit, had countdown timers, whitepaper, everything. I connected my MetaMask wallet – totally thought I was doing my due diligence. Well, pretty immediately after 'buying' the pre-sale tokens, my wallet was drained. All my ETH, about 2.5, and some BNB, like 1.5, just gone. I saw the transactions on Etherscan, but it all went to some address I don't recognise. It happened yesterday morning, around 9 AM UK time. I reported it to MetaMask, but they just sent an automated reply. Is there *any* way to get it back? Feeling sick to my stomach.
