My 'broker' is demanding a 'reserve capital fee' to release my withdrawal. Is this a new scam?
Hey everyone, feeling really anxious right now. I've been trading with a platform called GlobalPro (I know, should've checked more closely) for a few months, mostly doing forex. I deposited about $8,000 initially, and their 'analyst' helped me 'grow' it to over $20,000. When I tried to withdraw $5,000, they sent me an email saying I need to pay a 'reserve capital fee' of 15% of my profit before they can process it. They're saying it's for 'regulatory compliance' and to 'ensure market stability' because my account is now considered 'high-value.' This just sounds so off to me. I've never heard of a legitimate broker asking for this. My gut is screaming scam, but I'm so desperate to get my money back. Has anyone encountered this specific fee? What should I do?
