Lost my crypto after a fake 'cold storage' link, is it gone forever or can I trace it?
Hey everyone, feeling pretty sick to my stomach right now. I usually consider myself pretty careful but I messed up bad. I got this email, looked super legit, from what I thought was Trust Wallet, saying there was a critical security update for cold storage users and I needed to 're-authenticate' my wallet. I clicked the link, entered my seed phrase, and boom, everything gone. All my ETH, some SOL, probably about 15k-20k total. This happened about two days ago, late evening here in Al Ain. I tried contacting Trust Wallet support but they said they don't send emails like that and my funds are on-chain so they can't reverse it. Is there any actual way to trace these funds? Has anyone actually gotten anything back from something like this? I feel so stupid. Any advice would be appreciated.
