My unregulated broker, 'TradeVista Pro', suddenly requires a 'source of funds declaration fee'. Is this a known scam?
bonjour, everyone.
i'm hitting my wits' end here. i invested a decent chunk, about 6000 euros, with an online broker called 'TradeVista Pro' about two months ago. someone i met online recommended them, saying the returns were amazing, and honestly, the website looked pretty slick. my initial trades actually showed profit, which got my hopes up.
now, i tried to withdraw some of my profits last week, just 1000 euros to see how it worked. instead of processing it, they sent me an email saying i need to pay a 'source of funds declaration fee' of 500 euros, claiming it's for 'regulatory compliance' before any withdrawal can be approved. they said without it, my account will be frozen indefinitely. this sounds incredibly suspicious to me. is this a real thing? has anyone else experienced this with 'TradeVista Pro' or any other unregulated broker? i'm really worried i've lost my savings. any advice on what to do next would be a huge help. merci.
