Lost my crypto to a fake 'Uniswap V3' site, wallet drained. Any chance to retrieve it?
Feeling totally gutted right now. I was trying to swap some altcoins on what I thought was Uniswap V3 an hour or so ago. Found the site through a Google search, it looked legit – very similar to the real one. Connected my MetaMask wallet, went through the motions to approve a token, and then boom, before I even hit 'swap', my whole wallet got drained. Everything's gone, like about $X,XXX worth of ETH and several hundreds in AVAX. I'm kicking myself for not checking the URL more carefully. It was `uniswapv3-exchange.org` or something like that, not `app.uniswap.org`. I've disconnected everything from the fake site in MetaMask, but obviously, it's too late. Is there *anything* at all that can be done in these situations, or is it just a hard lesson learned? I've heard about transaction tracing, but how does that even work with scammers?
