Sent crypto to a totally wrong chain address, is it lost forever or can it be recovered?
Feeling so stupid right now. I was trying to send some USDC (ERC-20) from my Trust Wallet to my friend's account on an exchange, but somehow I messed up and sent it to an AVAX C-chain address. I know, I know, total rookie mistake. The transaction went through on Etherscan and it says 'success,' but obviously, it never showed up for my friend because it's on a completely different blockchain. I tried reaching out to Trust Wallet support, but they basically said there's nothing they can do since the transaction was confirmed on-chain. Is there ANY possibility at all to recover these funds? It wasn't a huge amount, but enough to really sting, like a few thousand USD. I'm kicking myself over this. Any advice, even if it's just to confirm my worst fears, would be helpful.
