My unregulated broker, FXChoice, says I 'over-leveraged' and deleted my account. Can I get my money back?
Feeling absolutely sick right now. I've been trading with FXChoice for about a year, started with a small amount, then put in a good chunk of my savings, around 8,000 euros, because things were looking good. My account manager was always pushing me to use higher leverage, saying that's how the pros make real money. So I did, I trusted him. Last week, I tried to log in and it just said 'account not found'. I emailed support, called the number – no answer. Finally, I got a generic email saying my account was closed due to 'excessive over-leveraging' and 'violation of risk parameters.' They basically just deleted my account with my funds still in it. This feels like a total scam. What are my options? I'm in Waterford, Ireland. Is there anything I can do from here? I used a Revolut card for most of the deposits.
