Deposited with 'Earn Forex Nigeria' for huge returns, now they're asking for 'Naira conversion fees' to withdraw. Scam?
Hi everyone, I'm feeling really stupid right now. About six months ago, I saw an ad for 'Earn Forex Nigeria' promising like, crazy high daily returns, saying they trade forex for you. I was looking for a way to grow some savings during the cost of living crisis, and their website looked kinda legitimate, with testimonials and everything. I started with a small amount, then put in more, in total about 4,000 EUR, which is a lot for me. I saw the profits piling up in my account dashboard, it looked great.
Now, trying to withdraw, it's a nightmare. They keep telling me I need to pay a 'Naira conversion fee' because my deposit was in EUR and their payouts are in Naira, and then a 'security verification fee'. Each time I pay one, another fee pops up. Is this a common scam? I'm so worried I've lost everything. I'm based in Rotterdam, so I only ever interacted with them online. What steps should I take next? Any advice would be appreciated, just feeling really lost.
