My 'broker' FXChoice is asking for a 'profit verification fee' to release my crypto profits. Scam?
Okay, so I got lured into this crypto trading thing, seen some ads on social media about making quick cash. Put in about £2k initially, then another £3k when they said I was 'investing' in some hot new altcoin. My account with this 'FXChoice' broker actually shows like £15k profit now, which is wild right? But when I tried to withdraw, they're saying I need to pay a 'profit verification fee' of £1500 before they can release anything. They said it's for compliance and to prove the funds aren't from illicit activities. It seems really dodgy to me, like, why can't they just take it from my 'profits'? This is my life savings nearly. Is this a new scam tactic or is it legit? I'm in London, so thinking of reporting to FCA but not sure if they'd even help.
A company called 'Claim Solutions Ltd' wants an 'escrow processing fee' – is this a recovery scam?
Hi everyone, I'm really at my wit's end here. Back in November, I lost about £4,500 to a fake crypto investment platform. It was devastating, I know I should have been more careful. I reported it to my bank and the FCA, but haven't heard much back. Yesterday, I got an email from a company called 'Claim Solutions Ltd'. They said they found my case through a 'public database' and that they can recover my funds. They've been quite professional so far, sent me some documents, and even showed me a screenshot of what looks like my lost funds in an 'escrow' account. But now they're asking for a £350 'escrow processing fee' to release the money. They say it's fully refundable once the funds are transferred. Is this legit? Or am I about to be scammed again? I'm so paranoid now, I just want my money back.
