My binary options broker is asking for a 'digital wallet security upgrade' fee to release my funds, what gives?
Hi everyone, I'm in a bit of a panic here. I've been trading binary options for a few months with this platform, it's called OptionStarsGlobal. I know, I know, should've checked more carefully, but I saw some good returns initially and got sucked in. I've been trying to withdraw some of my profits – not even all of it, just about £3,500 – and they keep stonewalling me. Now they're saying I need to pay a 'digital wallet security upgrade' fee of £800 before they can process *any* withdrawal. They're claiming it's for enhanced blockchain security and compliance, and that without it, my funds are 'at risk' and can't be moved. I'm in Nottingham, UK, and my partner is telling me it sounds super fishy. I've put in about £4k myself, so this £800 is a huge chunk. Has anyone else encountered this specific fee? Is this a new scam tactic? I'm worried if I pay it, they'll just come up with another excuse. Any advice on what to do next? I'm feeling really stupid right now.
My 'broker' is demanding a 'platform maintenance fee' to release my crypto profits. Is this a new scam tactic?
Hey everyone, I'm really getting worried here. I invested a decent amount of crypto – mostly ETH and some BTC – with a broker I found through a social media ad, tbh. They seemed legit at first, super responsive, good returns showing on their platform dashboard. I tried to make a withdrawal last week, just a small one to test the waters, and it got stuck. Now, their 'account manager' is telling me I need to pay a 'platform maintenance fee' of about 10% of my total balance before they can process *any* withdrawal. He says it's standard procedure for high-volume accounts and 'ensures smooth operation'. I'm in Abu Dhabi, and I've never heard of anything like this from any legitimate financial service. I'm feeling sick to my stomach, like I've walked right into something really bad. Has anyone encountered this specific fee before? Is this just another one of those tricks? I'm so desperate to get my money back.
My 'broker' is demanding a 'commission reset fee' before I can withdraw my profits. Is this legit?
Hey everyone, feeling really stuck here and honestly, a bit foolish. I started trading with this platform, it's called IronFX offshore (I know, I know, should've checked more), and for a while, everything seemed fine. My account showed some decent 'profits'. But now, when I try to withdraw, they're saying I owe a 'commission reset fee' because I apparently exceeded some trading limits they never told me about. It's like, a significant amount, low five figures, and they're saying my funds are 'frozen' until I pay it. I've tried arguing with their 'support' but they just keep sending me canned responses. I'm in Sheffield, UK, and this whole thing feels very scammy. Has anyone encountered this specific fee before? Is there *any* way to get my money out, or is it gone for good?
My unregulated 'broker' EuroFX is demanding a 'platform migration fee' to release my profits. Scam?
Hey everyone, feeling pretty stupid right now. I got lured into this forex trading thing by some ad on Instagram, and it led me to a 'broker' called EuroFX. At first, everything seemed great. I put in about £2k, and watched my balance grow, supposedly. Then I tried to withdraw a small amount – maybe £500 – just to test the waters. They approved it, but then said I needed to pay a 'platform migration fee' of 15% of my balance before they could process the withdrawal. They're saying they're upgrading their whole system and need this fee to transfer my 'assets' over. This sounds totally fishy to me. Has anyone heard of this before? Is this even a real thing in forex trading? I'm worried I'm about to lose everything.
