My account with EuropeFX was 'frozen' after I tried to withdraw, they're demanding a 'trade audit fee' now. Help?
Hey everyone, I'm really panicking here. I started trading forex with EuropeFX a few months back, saw some decent profits, nothing crazy, ya know? I thought it was all legit. So last week, I tried to make my first withdrawal, about 3,500 EUR. Everything seemed fine, then two days later, I got an email saying my account was 'frozen due to suspicious trading activity' and that I needed to pay a 'trade audit fee' of 1,200 EUR to unfreeze it and process my withdrawal.
I'm in Singapore, and I've heard about the MAS warnings for unregulated brokers, but I stupidly went with them anyway because the salesperson was super persistent and made it sound so easy. I've already paid in about 5,000 EUR in total across a few deposits, mostly via credit card. Is this 'audit fee' just another trick to get more money out of me? Should I pay it? I'm so scared I've lost everything. Any advice would be really appreciated.
